Berbnanidez - Look back at 2008 when Ronaldo scored 42 goals I bet you were the first to turn around and argue we weren't a one man team???
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, because when Ronaldo didn't play or peform we had other players who could stand up and contribute goals (Rooney, Tevez, Nani, Berbatov etc.).
Berbnanidez, we heard similar about how if Cesc left we wouldn't score any goals, and the same when Thierry left.
It is boring now,,,
At least one man Utd fan talks sense in this thread...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I never called you a one man team then but it is so obvious that you are over reliant on Van Persie now.
Who is going to get you goals if Van Persie doesn't?
Chamack?
Gervinho?
Walcott?
Chu-young?
I very much doubt it!

------
Tevez scored 19
Rooney scored 18
Nani scored 4
Berbatov was playing for Tottenham
I never said we were a one man team back then but i'm 100% certain that people would argue back with you (like you are doing now) and say we were and i'd say that season Ronaldo set most of Rooney and Tevez's goals up.
Arsenal haven't got that sort of back up like we did that season too

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal haven't got any backup forwards who are anywhere near good enough. That's my point.
RVP and Cesc were out for the majority of last season and we did very well. Someone else always steps in. Say what you want about Chamakh but when RVP was out last season, he was more than an adequate replacement.
But hotdamn. RVP Has played such a huge role this season so far.

You can dress it up all you like, the fact is you are a one man team!
That table is irrelevant because it assumes that we'd have played each game with ten men or nobody would have supplemented the goal count.
-------------------------------------------------------------
If you really think any of your other players would have scored the goals Van Persie has you are seriously deluded.
For all Arsenal fans sake, i would 8 2 see RVP get injured!
HERP DERP 'IF WE REMOVE THE BEST PLAYER FROM EACH TEAM, THEY'LL BE LESS GOOD SHOCKER'. Jesus, some of you must be stunned when the sun goes down every day.

You still don't get it do you?
Yes, if you remove the best player from any team they will be weakened but most teams have players who will step up and fill the void left by their best player. Arsenal's do not have players who can step up and if Van Persie isn't on form.
Right..perhaps not to the level you think. But by simply going 'replace these goals with...nothing!' you're just being silly.

Look at your other options ffs. Your other players aren't capable of scoring half the goals Van Persie does.

This is easily the stupidest article on ja606 and i cant beliieve this guy hasnt been shot down and silenced yet.

This is all you need to give op. Chances created. Arsenal are 2nd behind man city. This clearly proves the fact that if rvp was missing the chances would still be being created at an exceptionally high volume
Scorers Team Goals Goal/shots
van Persie Arsenal 18 23%
Ba Newcastle 15 31%
Agüero Man City 14 24%
Rooney Man Utd 13 19%
Yakubu Blackburn 12 38%
Out of the top 5 goalscorers rvp is 2nd from bottom in clinicalness. Techinically if we had Ba we would be scoring a lot more goals.
We are not a one man team we simply have a system which is designed to direct our goalscoring chances to the man best suited to take them. Hence why chamakh scored so many in the first half of last season when rvp was out. Isnt this an efficient way of playing football dont you think op?
Now go to bed and stop writing nonsense
