The thing with Town is we dn't lose many, so we will always pick up points, can we pick up enough wins to make the top 2? After our display last night and getting the 3 points why not?
runnin terrier we all know by now town dont do anything the easy way, last night was a typical example, and we've all said what we think about p.clarke and last night wasnt any different,he's a callamity and the sooner he goes the better our defence will get
How many more points would Town have had with boom boom in the back 4 all season?
Yesterday was a classic example of one of those games where we would have previously lost it but came back and got a very unlikely victory. This is what Southampton did last year and what Charlton are doing this year, winning when not playing well.
I was thinking that the manner of it should be a big motivator for them team, showing that even when seeming dead and buried we can come back.
Results really were in our favour so with a strong run now we can cement second spot although being Town we will make hard work of it.
Rossler made me laugh when moaning about Lee's goal. I think we were lucky with it but he said that Lee had no effort to go for the ball! He headed it into the net, therefore he went for the ball! It may have been a foul but he atleast did go for the ball and its not like Rossler ever took advantage in his playing days!!!!!
I think Town fans need to understand that there isn't any team in the world (apart from barca maybe) that plays perfect football week in week out....
We need to be thankfull for what we have got and where we are.....2nd in the league....2 losses in 52 league games...
Even Charlton fans are moaning about their teams performances and they're top by 7 points...
Just remember there are 2 teams on the field each game, both teams have an equal right to win, and to do their damndest to stop the other team from winning...It's never going to be a smooth run for anybody.....
Just be thankful for what you've got and get behind the team and stop moaning....

Myth.
& It will always be that way too.
Hard work last night, but don't you think the strong wind played some part in it too? We scored to goals with the wind in our faces, they didn't produce a single shot with the wind in theirs
nothing to do with the wind..
we surrended central midfield..we dropped back onto our centre halves and we defended in a line with no depth to it anyway..
p clarke found himself, alone in our box too often.. we ball watched and got caught time after time.. they had midfielders and forwards moving onto balls which made our static line of defence look even worse.. we played balls to players who were always facing their own goal with a brentford player in their shorts with them..
we sorted it out at half time after luckily getting back into a game we had no right still to be in...thats almost 40 odd minutes of another game wasted ...
the result is what counts, its what counted last season and clark and co totally forgot about the actual performances and shape of the team, which inevitably led to the good kicking at old trafford, lets hope someone, somewhere gets a grip on these very, very poor starts to games... charlton and others may not let us back into a game..
the result is all but managers and coaches get paid to win today and prepare to win next week and as far as i can see , its a total lottery at the moment as to how town play...
sometimes the other teams are gonna turn up and Brentford also had a helluva lot to play for given the cards were already on the table. I now know how wednesday fans felt after we scared the pants off them for 30 minutes fact is; its exactly why Im a football.
I enjoyed the game though i n
"I'm a football" ? Bet you ache all over, and I bet you're good under pressure!
Soz for taking the pee,I know what you meant,it just made me laugh
Hope the first 30 mins aren't 'a patch' on yesterday!
Is it only Town fans who knock their team, even when they win?
we showed great character to turn that game around the players deserve massive credit!
Is it only town fans? No of course not. Look at all the Arsenal fans calling for Wengers head. In football people expect their team to walk all over the opposition every single game no matter what.
IMO the wind played a big part last night, but the turning point (possibly of our season) was Alan Lee's goal being allowed.
He's been sent off for less than that this season.
If that had happened we would have been 0-2 down and a man light.
Incidentally why did the ref consult the liner? - perhaps they thought the ball had gone over the line before Lee committed his Nat Lofthouse impersonation.
Nevertheless our central midfield was appalling.
But a wins a win and the other results didn't go too badly - plus we've to play all our main contenders at home.
