Wenger should take note on how to be gracious in winning (and defeat)
"However, we city fans were labelled 'cry-babies' after the Kompany red, so I assume your complaining will be limited"
Kompany was unfortunate in the "spirit of the law" .
But you cannot compare his actions to what Bib boy did.
And no supporter should think that was Nemesis today.
As RDBD said, you can't compare City fans crying because their player was sent off because the referee applied the letter of the law, with Spurs fans asking what the referee was looking at when Lescott hit a roundhouse on Kaboul and Balotelli blatently stamped on Parker, and then went on to clinch the game.
RDBD, both were errors by the ref (that is from your point of view as I'm not sure it was intentional). Get over it. Just like we were told to.
U3929 :
Like most <Citeh> plastics nowadays, praise comes with arrogance.
Bib boy could have INJURED a FELLOW PLAYER today with nasty snide antics.
And you say "get over it" .
Mario,
Kompany was sent off for a wild two-footed lunge despite knowing full well what the rules of the game are.
Balotelli stamped on Parkers head, Lescott dropped Kaboul with a right hook...
None of our players committed these offences/assaults, so how does that compare?
Look, I would feel the same way as you had it been the other way around.
My point is that (as much as you disagree) we felt similarly robbed after Kompany's red. We were told by many fans to get over it - 'you win some you lose some'.
Again a ref's decision, or lack of, influenced the game and this time you lost and we won. I reiterate - Get over it.
Lescott red? Now that's just silly.
Cry me a river...cry me a river!
Come on Tottenham fans.. sing along
Cry me a river
Both Lescott and Balotelli should have had reds for their actions. Simple as. Whether the ref saw it or not doesn't change that. Hope the FA sort it out and act retrospectively.
City have a fairly dirty streak that everyone apart from City fans can see.
Lescott's was an accident, flailing arms: a foul yes, but no more. I could equally say Parker deserved a red for his challenge on Richards. But I am sensible and can see they were both accidents, so I won't.
If Balotelli's was intentional, which is debatable, then yes he deserved a red.
Dirty streak? Now someone has not taken defeat well in the slightest: '...but you're a dirty team, so there', is basically what you are saying.
Not at all. If spurs lose fair and square I take it on the chin, we were pretty unlucky today ref-wise however.
It is annoying to see a team with as much talent as city committing dirty fouls. Ive seen it in other games and they should cut it out.
No good team has ever fouled
Apart from that tho, as you say, was a great game.
I just watched the slow motion coverage of that incident I don't think it looked deliberate he looked well off balance. Pity Alan Green has a bug up his ass as no doubt will M.O.T.D..
If they ban us I think City should sue the F.A.if that so called assault was seen in Court they would throw it out.
Balotelli and lescott both need to be banned. Just because lescott has a mashed up head does not give him the right to try and give kaboul one as well.
Listen to yourselves. This is sad!
We've had a period of ten games or so where we get punished for everything possible via officials, and you've had one and you're acting like a bunch of sore children, cmon guys, the OP has tried to ignite some sort of gracious talk about the game, are you capable of taking part?

Afflicted with gross exaggeration much?
