How you gonna get rid of them?

And to think McCoist paid extra to get Bedoya in the summer

Swap Jelavic with Healy, seeing as your chief penalty taker will be south of the Border in the next seven days.

I know, it is quite shocking the extra money Ally paid in the summer. But with regards to the others, theres been reports that several championship clubs are after Broadfoot (god only knows why!) and McKay and Ortiz are subject to interest from China and Spain respectively.

I desparately hope theres some truth in these rumours, if theyre not going to play, we'd be better to get shot of them!

McGregor
Jaager Goian Boca Papac/Wallace
Edu Davis
Aluko Bruins Celik
Jelavic

To me that looks a very good side

no heard much about that Bruins???

McKay hasn't been given a proper shot though eh? He's obv fell out with McCoist. I know Australian football might no be the best but if he got player of the tear last season then he must be decent surely

What's happening with ness anyway?

Terrific player

Who is Bruins?

Seriously - who is he? An out of work 24 year old who got punted after just 3 games with his last club?

And we are banking on him to be an integral part of a championship winning team?

posted on 24/1/12

Say what you like, but i have a good feeling about Bruins, he was tipped for stardom at an early age and although hes lost his way a bit i feel that given a chance he could do very well for us.

basing a very gd side on 3 players u hv never seen before is a bit rash

Also a very optimistic one seeing as Jelavic is in there and he's being punted in the next couple of days.

Mcgregor, the best goalie in Scotland, two international captains at centre backs, two experienced international playing fullbacks, davis (on his day the best midfielder in Scotland) edu whoe has been playing well recently, bruins and Celik - unknown but sound promising, aluko who has been brilliant for us so far, and Jelavic the best striker i the country.

Thats how it looks like a good team, thank you very much.

And Keny, note what i wrote in the article - "It's optimistic i know, and we'd have to hope that Jaager Celik and Bruins can live up to expectations, but i think ths team would be capable ofmaking it four in a row."

I realise its optimistic, but at time slike this we kind of need a bit of optimism!

If Jelavic doesn't get the move he clearly wants he might throw a wee huff, especially if we start pulling away.

I commend you for your loyalty but citing players who've flopped at other clubs and who no one else wants as "promising" is frankly embarrassing.

its definetly optimistic mate il give u that but fair play for realising it. Im not bein funny but does mccoist have an eye for a bargain player? I dnt think goian or bocanegra are doin that well tbh, wallace has dne ok, ortiz, bedoya an mckay (mkay!) cnt even make the bench. Its not inspiring tbh

posted on 24/1/12

I f you say so, but would you not have said the same for aluko? and look how he's turned out.

And to say no one else wants them isnt entirely accurate, Celik apparently had up to 10 teams trying to sign him, including clubs in England and Germany.

posted on 24/1/12

Aluko was a decent player at Aberdeen and he's been a decent player at Rangers.

Like keny, I think there's been a lot of hype over Bocanegra and Goian. Earlier in the season McCoist had the team set up in a Walter-style formation with plenty of support for the defence.

Now that he's trying to play a more expansive style your CBs are more exposed and boy have they been badly exposed recently.

posted on 24/1/12

I wouldn't necessarily agree about Goain and oca to be fair, our main weakness recently have been in terms of creativity rather than defense.

I guess we'll have to see about Celik, Bruins etc, but i do have my fingers crossed that they can do a job, at least abetter job than Bedoya mckay and ortiz.

Currently

McGregor - second best keeper in Scotland

Jagger - Unknown and not affordable unless jela is sold
Goian & Boca - Nothing amazing
Papac - Good, best rangers player over last few years

Edu - what can be said
Davis - dramatically overhyped, never seen him run an OF game like kayal could

Aluko - Admittedly done well
Bruins - Same as jagger
Celik - Unknown

Jelavic - Wont be there

More likely team

Mcgregor
Bartley--Goian--Boca--Papac
Aluko--Davis--Edu--Wallace
Celik--Healy

be interesting to c bedoya or mckay gt a game tbh, i think mccoist is a bit reluctant to take a chance in case they drop points

posted on 24/1/12

Le hammer, i stopped reading when you said mcgregor was the second best goalkeeper in scotland.

don't tell me you honestly think forster is better?

Andy Goram rates him very highly.

posted on 24/1/12

yes keny i know what you mean, i was quite hopeful when we signed Mckay, he's australian poty - and theyve got some decent players.

Still were dropping points all over the place anyway, so i dont see why ally wouldnt give him a game, unless there is something deeper lying!

Davis is gonna have to come out of hiding for you boys very soon if you are to mount any kind of challenge to Celtic.

I said earlier in the season that Goian is a shocker. I was told that he was a great centre half, when rangers were 15 clear that is, now people seem to be realising that he is never a player.
