junction - Gio has looked quite handy in the Europa League and the FA Cup this season

Lord Levy, getting rid of Pav + Gio + Bentley for 19m odd, means that you have balanced the transfer books over Arrys' reign (not to mention decreased the wage bill) .

hhhhmmnn, maybe in that one fa cup game.....

listen,my biggest problem with him is,talent maybe, but if you dont have application or the right attitude, then i'm not a fan.

andy carrol pro footballer, and he's struggling with his weight due to his lifestyle....?!

PLEASE,the money they earn, and claim they deserve,NO excuses for me...and if he aint getting played for that reason, then i agree with harry 100%

junction - Fully understand that, but sometimes i just get the impression that if Harry just doesn't like you, you will never get a chance, even if you put 100% effort in

RDBD - Oh i do like that ! Plus i forgot about Bentley

Perhaps we could get Rossi included in the Dos Santos deal?

With regards to Pav, I wonder if Levy activated the 1 year extension on the contract just to get more money for selling him without the intention of keeping him on for that year at all.

As for GDS, to me he seemed like a miny taraabt, expected everything to be about him far too soon without the achievement of breaking in to the team.

Greaves - How about Nilmar?

Pav does score some good goals, but...WHAT A FRUSTRATING RUSSIAN

Has the year extension actually been 100% confirmed yet?

We never got the Pav of Euro 2008 delivered to us.
Someone swapped him with a meerkat lookalike with circadian rhythm defects, while in transit to WHL.

I still don't think we will sign anyone (other than perhaps loan), still don't think Levy is convinced we will have Harry next season (either for court case or England) and is saving the money for a new manager. Why spend money on fringe players that the new man might not want.

A striker though does need to be found from somewhere though...

£8 million for a 30 year old striker who is on a poor run of form sounds a fair price!

Pep is coming to Spurs for the challenge, not the money.

Villarreal have confirmed that they are in advanced negotiations with Tottenham over the signing of Mexican forward Giovani Dos Santos.

The 22-year-old Mexican international has failed to establish himself since arriving at White Hart Lane in the summer of 2008 from Barcelona.

This season he has been used principally by Harry Redknapp in domestic and European Cup competitions, contributing a couple of goals against Shamrock Rovers and Cheltenham.

However, it seems Dos Santos is now ready to bring an end to his time in North London with Villarreal hopeful of completing a deal before the close of the transfer window, although La Liga rivals Espanyol and Granada are also thought to be interested.

"The negotiations are well on the way and it seems like the player wants to come to Villarreal," said the Spanish outfit's vice president Jose Manuel Llaneza.

"The deal is not finalised, but we expect a solution by the weekend. Villarreal needs more attacking players."

RRP..........................Now that is optimism in the extreme!!

RRP - Don't know, but IF the reports are true that Lokomotiv bids are true then I would feel that it is true as otherwise they could wait a few months and get him on a free. I don't know when the Russian league plays but Im guessing its cold there in January so might not be for a while either so they'd have no real reason to hurry. Thats my guess, but still a guess.
