Arsene didn't think this one through properly. It appears he's back to his activities as a voyeur
I don't think that Henry applies here. He is talking about teams in the PL loaning players to other teams in the PL to strengthen their own chances of winning the title. As Henry plays in the US he doesnt really count.
I can see his point with Adebayor not being allowed to play for Tottenham when they play Man City but the rest is just so double standards
Because he probably does feel that way, of course he does, but it doesn't mean he shouldn't use it while it is there does it? He doesn't like the January transfer but still uses it.
Just because he finds something wrong with football doesn't mean you can't and shouldn't use it. If a wrong decision is made in a game that gives away a penalty, it shouldn't have been made, all managers will say that, doesn't mean they would reject it, they'd be happy for it in many cases!
But if you are going to put your name forward for a particular bill, it's a bit ridiculous for you to also be in favour of the bill.
It's double standards if you ask me, you shouldn't be saying one thing if you're already doing the complete opposite.
Does this mean Leeds should complain about being knocked out of the FA cup, after all it was his over 21 year old loanee Thierry Henry who scored the goal.
---------------------------------------
I guess you didn't register the bit about premier league teams loaning OTHER premier league teams players over 21.
In case hadn't noticed, Thierry henry now plays in the MLS
or did sky not report that bit? (can't read the link from work, but read it elsewhere last night)
He didn't have an issue loaning Bendtner out...

another one not seeing the point.
he doesn't think it SHOULD be allowed - however it is, so of course he's going to take advantage of it
"He didn't have an issue loaning Bendtner out..."
Wenger is making a point that the loan system is open to abuse, the ones to benefit should be young players who are unable to get much game time at thier parent club, also imo the club loaning the player should be responsible for paying the loaned players wages in full.
Oh, I know what you mean VC. I'm just saying, he shouldn't have an issue loaning Bendnter out, as he woun't exactly cause any threat to rivals, etc.
It's not a bad idea, even if Wenger's a hypocrite to be the one coming out with it.
You Arsenal fans are defending Wenger and saying doesn't mean he shouldn't take advantage of it.
But surely if he feels that way, he should be setting an example and NOT taking advantage of it. How can you try come out in opposition when you're just another one in participation.
Wenger has become a bit of a fool in his older years.

================================
Technically he didn't loan Bendtner out, the kid wanted to leave, no one wanted him so Sunderland took pity on him
How does it make him a hypocrite? There are no rules against him loaning players out over the age of 21 so why shouldn't he do it? Wenger also thinks there should be no January transfer window but it hasn't stopped him signing players in all but one of them. I'm not sure you understand the meaning of hypocrite.
Wenger's playing by the rules, but saying he thinks the rules should be changed. He'd be a fool not to take any advantage he can get.
I think he's right about the loan system, how can Adebayor playing for Tottenham make sense when he's owned by city, so he cant play against them but can against city's rivals. Madness.
Basically, what Batmanu said.
Your irrelevant point about Henry has already been spelled out by others too.
It's his job to do the best for Arsenal within the parameters of the game, but it doesn't mean that he can express opinions about those parameters which would benefit the league as a whole.
Your entire point is flawed.
I dont see the problem with loaning players around premier league clubs... Nor do I see any issue with the Adebayor loan.. Am I the only one?
Erm, I meant 'can't express', obviously
Hypocrite: A person who engages in the same behaviors he condemns others for.
---------------------------------------------------------
So he condemns Manchester City, but he engages in the same acts?
You guys keep going on about him playing by the rules, but if he feels so strongly then he shouldn't play by those rules and should play by the rules that he wants to see enforced.
You can't change things by participating in them. If he feels so strongly then he should make a stand.
Mr Chelsea
Anyone could have gone for him, might not of got him but he was available.
If a player isn't playing at his club, but the club don't want to sell him for whatever reason, why shouldn't he go on loan somewhere?

he hasn't condemned anyone. he was asked a question by a reporter, and he gave his opinion.
Seems some people just love to dig for anything to slap the man with. quite pathetic behaviour really.
It's like the not whizzing in the pool rule. How can you complain about people doing it if your sitting in the warmest part of the pool
I don't have a problem with loans, it suits all parties involved.
And at the same time I don't blame Manchester City stopping Adebayor playing against them. At the end of the day he's their player, Tottenham have a squad you mean to tell me they depend on one player for the whole season?
