Spurs are in 3rd position because Arsenal have decided to take things easy for a while. Normal service shall resume after the FA Cup break and i fully expect us to overhaul Tottenham come May.
How do you have a "great" team? Exactly what have this "great" team achieved.
You have a good team but until they have had sustained success they'll never be great
And what Bubbles said....
You are sitting at 3rd position and still crying about chelsea's spending power. You should be more concern with your team consolidating on your position on the league table.
Garry Cahill was there for grabs, no club took him, I thought Pieneer join you because we refuse to meet his wage demands?

Garry Cahill was there for grabs
=======================
Yeah, but we didnt want him. And neither would Chelsea have, unless they needed to fill some slots for "homegrown players".
Is it just a coincidence that Bolton have started picking up points since he left?
Cahill is vastly over rated and no where near an international class footballer.

No one else wanted Cahill now or inthe summer. Only you mugs would pay sky high wages for an average CB.
Its only because he is English that he is given he hype and the England Caps. We have Caulker who if not already will be twice the player Cahill is .
Chicken
Yes it is.
Bolton were not at any stage (bar the goal) challenged by Liverpool defensively. Bolton actually had more possession and more territorial advantage, if you have the ball and in the opposition half there is no immediate danger.
Had Chelsea or a half decent team played them Bolton would have been stuffed

Many clubs expressed an interest in Cahill.
IMO he isn't a word beater but he is still better than all of your CB's by a country mile bar King and Kaboul

City and Chelsea, whom are vastly distorting the costs of running a prem club.

What planet do you live on?
to be fair, we probably would have gone in for him on a free transfer and reasonavble wages. but £7m for a guy whose contract ending and wages at how much?
we had the same scenario with Pienaar and Kranjcar, similar in terms of capability to Cahill, good squad players and can add something, but we only paid £2m each and a fraction of wages. That's the difference. Yes we showed an interest according to Harry, but never above what he's worth like Chelsea have

Ahhh but we are the top London club at the moment
FACT!
Since the 1901 FA Cup final the Tottenham Hotspur crest has featured a cockerel. Harry Hotspur (from whom the club is said to take its name) was famed for his riding spurs and his fighting cockerels were fitted with spurs which can be seen in the crests.[13] In 1909 a former player named William James Scott made a bronze cast of a cockerel standing on a football to be placed on top of the West Stand and since then the cockerel and ball have been the major part of the club's identity.[14]

Gallas is far from poor. If he hadn't played in games against Sunderland & your lot (Chelsea) amongst others, we would have been mullared. No question about it.
Gallas has more pace & positional awareness than Cahill has. Easy.
chelsea opitomize everything that is wrong with the modern day game.
chelsea were pretty much a nothing club until roman popped up, and since then chelsea have distorted the wages and transfer fees in the game.
they are the original culprits.
how much was winston bogarde earning again? he never even made the bench.
there will be a day when roman pulls his money out, and gets fed up with watching chelsea team after chelsea team not match his ambition, and big signing after big signing flop, and then chelsea will go back to what they were before - an irrelevance.
man city - basically the new chelsea although i have more time for their supporters as, to be fair, they more or less stuck with them when they were in league 1, whereas chelsea couldnt even manage a 10,000 gate in a premier league v coventry in about 1994...

Simply put both city and chelsea will spend what it takes to achieve success and at almost any cost....their egotistical owners, hate not winning and and will spend whatever it takes to be successful...the problem for them is, that they can only have a certain amount of players, despite city's current transfer attitude....

A nothing club that had challenged for the title and twice qualified for the CL prior to RA buying them out.
No wonder he decided not to invest in Spurs despite Roman being jewish.
What does roman being Jewish have to do with spurs ?
yeah come on Egg, lets here this.
Am I mistaken in the view that both Tottenham and Arsenal have a strong jewish contingent of fans and investors in their clubs?
