I genuinely can't wait to see the scousers eat their words in 2 weeks when we tear them a new one at OT. They'll be gobsmacked. Arrogant tools, acting like they won the title or something.
No they won't do a Leeds, I can see them struggle to break back into the CL places though. With Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, United and City all better teams than them at the moment, with possibly Newcastle looking fairly strong (be interesting to see how they progress) are Liverpool going to manage to get back into the CL at all.
Even if they do get back in with their coefficient rating much lower than it used to be they will struggle to make it through their group, meaning full strength sides for mid week games and that would probably wreck their chances of keeping that CL place...
It is hard to see them progressing unless they really splash out or the clubs above them stop progressing and start regressing.

The same team that led the last 3 years the 5 year uefa coefficient rankings lol. Only Barcelona overtook us due to us getting knocked out of the CL.
Man utd hold more champions league then any team. Of course I would rather beaten Barca in those 2 finals for them but in the history books they will last a long time.
meant man utd hold more champions league records then any other team.
Lol I'd love for them to splash out again. I can see Kenny bidding 60m for Joe Hart and 70m for some championship striker with talent for being "British". I can't see them in the top 6 for the next 3 seasons at best to be fair. They've got a weak midfield and a horrid attack. Not to mention aging players in Carragher, Maxi and Gerrard. Forever in decline
And they call us touchy
Calm down lads
It was only a joke...

Totally agree honestlivpool_five_times but baring in mind our struggles against smaller teams we did well today to get a win!
I now actually know why liverpool draw so many games as they wait for teams to attack them then exploit the spaces like reina goalkicks but the 'smaller teams' play with a lot of players behind the ball so liverpools main threat from hoof ball is stopped so the draws go on. Man utd go all out to win.
hafijur
You're mistaken
We only play this way vs dangerous teams. We usually create tons of chances against smaller teams but end up drawing or losing after failing to take our chances.
Stoke away is a big a example. Had 27 shots with more than half on target and still managed to lose the game
Congratulations Liverpool! I do not like offering Livespool congratulations but they deservedly won today. And they have done that at anfield over and over again.
So we can sit here and watch it or we can actually turn the tide! I am not asking for a mass movement here. A short term burial of Liverpool would suffice!
Please take this the wrong way Liverpool fans! I am not literally wishing harm on any of you guys!
OP, you do realise we have over 11 players out with injury. Most of them first team members and you struggled to beat a team hastily put together for this fixture.
Says a lot about your team doesn't it. See you at OT
hahaha op is a wum.
no rooney
no nani
no vidic
da gea !
park !
giggs !
scholes (still the best on the pitch!)
evra !
you deserved the win, Liverpool are a bogey team at anfield for us.
i was expecting a lose considering our players out and playing at anfield etc to be honest but still pretty funny you only just managed a win against this united side. don't get too excited pool fans
There are some serious bitter posts on here, arab Manc, thought you were better than that akhee.
Next Leeds? Utter tripe from the hicks and Gillet days.
We were without our regular right back, Lucas, Suarez bellamy yesterday for the most part.
All this we had such and such out and would've beaten Liverpool is tripe.
We've beaten man united that featured Rooney nani ronaldo etc
Cleverly your best attacking midfielder?????!
Come on you know that's not right.
Hastily put together? Your best striker hernandez was on the bench! And your record signing for 30m, Berbatov was as well!
Hastily out together!! Ha!
look guys, let liverpool have their moment
small club, small club mentatlity
raise their game against the big teams but don't bother turning up versus the likes of bolton
it's why they will finish 7th lets face it, all they did was park the bus against man city twice (a weakened man city) and same again against a injury hit man utd.
long ball hoof style football will only get them so far
If i said " shukran jazeeran akhi..."
Haha there's quite a few arabs on this site, thought it's just me. Where you from?
My roots aren't Arabian though I am able to read Arabic and speak a few words.
A lot of our fans are being bitter here! We lost and we deserved to because we sat back and played for a replay. Sir Alex has made some dubious calls this season but the decision to relinquish the clear advantage we had over a Liverpool team who were on their knees after Wednesday night has to be the worst. I've seen a lot of Liverpool this season (far more than I would like to see) and that is as badly as I've seen them play! And we lost! What does that say about us? And why are Giggs and Scholes being asked to play every game? Done to death but we need to sign a competent midfielder. Get it sorted Fergie and if you don't have the funds, then say so! Rant over!
i give the op respect for a catching a net full
I didn't even read the article lol. Just read the bitter comments from some of my fellow united fans and felt like a rant!

We took the mick today tbh!
