For what it's worth, I don't think Zaha is any better than a number of the kids in the Academy. We need a finisher, not a 19 year old from the championship.

The only hope is that Suarez, after finally getting a break, comes back firing and with Downing picking up the last few games, we can create a bit more for big Andy.
4th is ours to gain and the others to lose. Last year we played the second half of the season with nothing to gain, and look how that went. Fingers Crossed!

What do we really need?
Carroll is playing better and caused the Mancs a lot of problems on Saturday. Bellamy is in the form of his career, Kuyt looks like he's finding some form and Suarez will be back soon.
We also have players queueing up in the reserves - Sterling, Suso, Morgan....
We have a shot at two cups, a long shot at 4th and looks to be finding some form. Everyone likes to see a new player - It's exciting, but is it necessary? I don't think so.
We need a right midfielder with pace. And a DM. And a striker.

This is the problem we have when we win or put up a good fight against the top sides. We are not good enough at the moment to make up 6 points on Chelsea with our current squad, that i will always maintain.
Not that i think Chelsea are good or anything because i think they are very average.
However, granted Carroll played well and Kuyt scored on the weekend, but that hasn't been the case for the rest of the season.
We lack serious flare bar (Bellamy one game a week) and Suarez, plus we don't have a natural goal scorer.
This will prove very very costly as we have just kissed any chance of 4th goodbye.
Who's to say that we haven't a number of targets but were unable to get them due to the usual problems of this transfer window? After all, we all agree that its players that are better than what we have now and can take us to the next level, that we need surely? Virtually all these players will still be involved in the Champions League and will never leave yet. Surely you don't want us to buy someone for the sake of it? They don't always work out...
On the half full side, I think it will give the newer players a boost in confidence.
Back to back manc killings with Kenny backing them as good enough will do them a lot of good. and maybe this means one or two of the younger lads will get called up.
I don't think you can call 4th written off. Chelsea were very poor against QPR on the weekend and only won because Daniel Sturridge cheated.
I'm pretty convinced that it's possible to catch them.

we havent got enough quality in the forward positions 24 goals in 21 games show this.
We also do not have a quality DM and any pace on the right. Couple of loans or even signing someone would have done no harm.
Poor decision by Kenny!!!
If we don't get 4th we will live to regret this.
What a waste of an opportunity.
