Jos Buttler in for either KP or Kieswetter.
KP is coming to the end of his career. Too selfish for my liking plus he hasn't lived anywhere near to his potential. Jos Buttler looks great.

I do think Butler is the best of the lot but the question is can they do it in Sub Cont conditions? Look at Bairstow who hit the Indian bowlers out of the park in England but when he went to India they had his number.
Long term wise I think England need to set up winter camps in the Sub Cont like they have one in Austrailia to help young batsman aclimatatise to Sub Cont condition. Isnt sending them to Austrailia every winter just like for like with English conditions?

They should build an indoor "Indian conditions unit" a bit like the snow dome for skiing & play in there.
Kash- The England Lions have been in Bangladesh and are now in Sl. How sub-continental can one get.
Hope is that touring or actual training camps like they have in Austrailia.
The same can be said about Sub Cont teams, rather than playing numerous T20 tournaments they should be in England in April/May and work on there game in those seaming conditions cos we all know when Pak and India come back they will be like sitting ducks.

Surely a mixture of training and competitive cricket is ideal. After all most of these players have been in performance squads and are pretty experienced county players.
why are English born and bred neglected in English selection??
........................
Simple answer really, they're not. If they are good enough they will play. Buttler is starting to appear in ODI squads and will get his chance. It's a matter of that, nothing to do with being neglected.

When will Aussie supporters stop bringing up this old chestnut of SA players in the England team. Perhaps they can only hold one thought at a time in their brain.

I'd be happy for Pakistan to take Moeen Ali of Englands hands.
Has this not been covered millions of times before?
It's the same as Ajmal's bowling action or the BCCI & the DRS.
Let's talk about something a little more constructive
Good point Dernbach, i was going to say, the ICC have cleared Ajmal (rightly so) and his action is within the rules of the game. No one can question his action here as it's within the laws of the game or you get jumped on. England pick players from SA it's been cleared by the ICC and is within the rules of the game, but we are expected to take the wumming for that. Odd.

I suppose when you annihilate someone 4-0, they’ll come up with any excuse to justify why their own team lost…. The whole south african players bull has been done to death – its boring to the extreme. People need to move on.
Well said Dernbach its very boring indeed!!
I see Butler has scored another ton for the lions. He must be a shoe in for the one day squad?
I'm hoping he gets a shot at the SL tests. Unless Morgan can really perform in the 3rd test, he needs to be dropped from the test side.
