It seems pretty apparent to me that Kean's promised three or four signings were actually in fact the players that we already have - by the grace of God keeping them at the club, messrs Samba and Hoilett et al.
That is of course if Harry doesn't snap them up at a minute to midnight.
It really does look like Venky's are willing to spend no money on the team at all. Even a couple of million would surely have been enough to get someone better.

MOO!
Modeste
Olsson
Orr
To be fair to Kean on this one he has actually stuck to his word regarding 3 to 4 players. Whether or not they can hit to the road running is to be seen...
Theres also Payne but he is only 18 and ruins the MOO!
We were ideally looking for new signings that could shape and change our season over the remaining league games. Not sure we have achieved that.
However, it remains imperative that existing players are not allowed to leave and so far so good on that front.
Sorry WIls, you're right about those players - however Kean was quoted as saying that he wanted 3-4 players with Premier League experience who could hit the ground running.
Where are they?

Without Modeste (loan) does he turn it into POO?
to be fair we have a decent squad. We're only really lacking in one key position.

I disagree. Petrovic and N'Zonzi don't fill me with confidence defensively. Would've liked to see some reinforcement there with a Jermaine Jones type player in.
However in reality we are signing sub-PL league players to "save our season". If we lose players now, it's hopeless. Everyone INCLUDING Samba must stay.
We really needed a decent RB, indications are that Bradley Orr isn't the player we were looking for.
I'd rather have Lowe, Andrews or Henley at RB.
Well I admire many fans willingness to be enthusiastic about our signings but I'm gonna be a grumpy git and say what a load of garbage and Venkys have completely let us down again (although at least this time it was expected).
Modeste - 1 in 6 striker in the French league.
Olsson - Previously rejected trial and total lack of interest from anyone else in the period since a strong indication he'll be significantly worse than his brother.
Orr - 29 years old and the highlight of his career is the QPR bench.
Basically we haven't strengthened in the slightest.
I don't see anyone getting enthusiastic with our signings b&whs. Far as I'm concerned, there's nothing to interest us here.
Seriously think we could see Hoillet go (what is the club's strategy here?) as we have brought a LW in.
Have to agree with B&WH in that we have not strengthened in the slightest. Not that I really expected any better.
It remains to be seen whetehr we lose anyone late doors.
Slightly expected but this has to be the most under whelming transfer period I can recall. No doubt Kean will come out and tell us where it went wrong because I cannot believe these signings were the targets at the beginning of January.
I think I would rather have sold Samba and got two decent committed players in. Whether feasible is another matter.
I am very very miffed!
Kean continues to show us his idiocy
Probably more down to Venky's lack of cash injection than Kean's incompetancy imo.

Ultimately that will have been key. However from Kean's point of view he must know we are in a mess and needed qualified and competent new players. I can't help feeling the Venky's have missed an opportunity this window to undo a lot of the negativity they have created.
Just another reason suggesting Venky's don't actually care.
Their best chance to save their "baby". And nothing. Have they even spoken since they gave Kean that contract in October/November?
We even seem unable to actually get the Orr deal done and announced!!
He has joined now.

Venky cheapskates- how much does an orr cost anyway these days?
If Ian Dowie football genius ugliest man in football says he is good then we are in for a right treat!! At least we have brought in a more experienced right back I think most of his experience is in the championship though isn't it? Doesn't fill me with excitement but he might turn out to be a shrewd signing and we certainly need help in that position since we have been playing a 17 year old there.
