Didn't they both play when we played Benifca, can't say Gaitan overly stood out, but he's supposedly one of their star men. Haven't seen much over Garcia other than those games either.

If were gonna buy, it shoud be first choice players to replace carrick and whoever in the centre.
I dont think either of these two are anything overly special.
Out of the the 2 I would rather have Garcia, he looks pretty good, however Gaitan looks quite greedy.

Javi garcia is ok, all round midfielder, good positioning, a bit selfish in front of the box. Takes to many pops at goals.
Gaitain only hilites ive seen, looks like a poor mans silva with a good shot. Sadly he wont cost as small as sikva did.
the guy isn't reliable, he's a Uni student with no football sources at all.
^^ to the comment above, I have nothing against the guy, but he is just talking about rumours from other peoples rumours. As in he's getting information from rumour mills from journos and other countries. I know this because I actually know the person in question. Having said that I would welcome the move but it's all rubbish.
Was chatting to my Benfica mates before I heard about this.... the talk in the Portuguese press was that no deal had been done, but we have some kind of first refusal in place on Javi Garcia.
Not sure why, maybe influence from Queiroz or Mendes?

"Gonçalo Lopes, a journo for Diário de Notícias, says that both Javi Garcia and Nicolas Gaitan are almost certain to join #MUFC in summer."
They're both really good, especially Garcia who is a hard tackling defensive midfielder with true technical ability like most Spanish midfielders these days. Very consistent. Don't know how the one comment about him being selfish etc came from, he is a true team player. He's also a bug guy so physically up for the premier too.
Gaitan is almost the opposite type of player but also really good and exciting. I'd rate both above carrick.
