Spurs wont win the league, but they are easily the best team in London.

I actually feel a bit sad at how much Arsenal have declined. United vs Arsenal used to be the most exciting match of the season. Now its just another match where I fully expect 3 points.

What does the current Arsenal team have to do with Spurs being title contenders? There is no bitterness involved in my comments. It is just common sense. Both Manc clubs are miles better than Spurs so the idea of Spurs finishing above both never mind just one is hilarious

To be fair Batmanu, you'd bite anyone's arm off to have Arsenal in Spurs's position now.

Yes, I would love to be in Spurs position right now. Don't see what that has to do with anything.

5 points behind is not miles. Besides we should have beat City a few weeks ago. We outplayed them which suggests we're not miles behind

Excellent reply

The trouble with Batman is that he is living in denial, still thinking Arsenal are good and Spurs are not very good. I think he has been listening to Wenger too much. He is in denial as well.

Fair play to Spurs, they've been fantastic this season. However, I reserve my judgement as to whether they will be serious challengers until they are near the top for a long time. We heard how they were going to kick on after finishing 4th, then they dropped straight out.

Also, Spurs have a very good first 11, it is due to this they are near the top as they have not really had their squad tested in the same way other clubs have due to injuries.

Furthermore, I don't really know if Spurs are near the top because they are that great, it could be more down to the fact that Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are very poor, as well as us being poor by our standards. If we had a world class cm, and less injuries, Spurs would be nowhere near us.

All ifs and buts I know, but take these into account, and see if they happen in other seasons, then we can judge this Spurs side.

i understand your point, but we've finished 3rd before without trophies...it feels rubbish and uneventful. Then again we were emirates cup champions and the most solvent club in the division

What will happen now Arsenal finish out of the top 4, is force some action from Arsene or the board. They'll have to spend excessive cash to move up the league again.

Will Wenger survive this season Batman ??
personally if you come 7th I don't think he will. He may resign if that happens.

ArryRaptor, just speaking the truth. I suppose when people start comparing Bale to Messi again I'll be bitter for laughing at that too

You're obviously disappointed because you've been in the top 4 for the past 14 years now. This is Spurs's second proper season maintaining a top 4 finish and first time top 3 finish in the PL era. You'd have to understand why they'll be glad of that finish and no trophies because it's progress. And then they can build on that process by investing in players and then maintaining CL and PL games. They haven't done that when they finished 4th 2 years ago and that's understandable because they was new to Europe. It took fergie a while to get us to experience playing CL and PL at a consistent level. Anyway, I have spurs favourites to win the FA cup.

I never said Spurs fans compared Bale to Messi, I said 'people' have. Like after the hat trick in the San Siro fat Sam called him the best player in the world

I haven't even said Spurs fans think they will win the league. I think deep down even they know they are not close to the Manc clubs. It is the likes of Ray Wilkins and other fools in the media brown nosing their mate 'Arry.

Yes batman I agree but your board does not seem worried by much, unless there is a severe fans backlash. But Wenger surely does not deserve that from the fans!
So it will be down to him to resign or for the board to act !
No matter how much we slipped if Fergie was in charge I would never turn against him. No United fan in their right mind should and if that situation arose I would expect SAF to resign or to be dismissed rather than the fans having to get him removed. Those two have done so much for their respective clubs it would eb very sad to see.

He will go to Madrid. They've always wanted him and Mourinho will not last beyond this season IMO.

Whoever would want fergie out after trophy less seasons is a plastic and not a proper United fan

Batman five points is pretty close in most supporters books.

It`s certainly closer than 12 points.
