I think Harrys defense team give their closing statements
Verdict tomorrow?
Nope. We've always known that.
This week is when we learn his punishment.
i think the verdict will still be today. It completely depends on how quickly the jury can come to a decision. It could be 5 minutes.
They are considering their verdicts now I believe.
So could be anytime from now.
Is it looking good or what?
we should find out today.
I would say no from what I have heard.
Redknapp lost it a few times when questioned, and that never looks good.
Could go either way.
No doubt the slimeball will wriggle out of this one
Oh right
Soon find out anyway!
Ignorance is not usually a good defence, and from what I heard that was Redknapps main defence.
That and all the good charity work he did. But then the Krays did a lot of good work for their community...

The Judge is still doing his summing up actually.
"Is it looking good or what?"
No way IMHO he can walk.
All comes down to whether the judge warrants a custodial.
Sounds like the judge will be summing up for another 2 hours, so it will be late afternoon if today...
I'll be gobsmacked if he's not found guilty. Like you say, ignorance is no defence.
That rules out the England job, but will Levy hold firm and keep him or will he cave under pressure and let him go.
"The Judge is still doing his summing up actually"
Mr Redknapp, I see that even with the stresses of this trial, plane groundings, and player injuries, your team is still superior to Liverpool on a "run of form" .
Therefore, I cannot consider a custodial sentence, as tis in the public interest for Spurs to provide maximum LAA/LAC/LAL for the general public.
Seems like he really didnt know what he was doing, but he still broke the law so he will probably be found guilty. But the points where he said why would he risk ruining his life for £70,000 when he has turned down bigger money previously is something to think about...
It's interesting because the Judge is saying that Harry can't be found guilty and Mandaric gets cleared, but Harry can be cleared with Mandaric being found guilty.
Their defence seems to be that the money was a gift, not a bonus.. so nonsense talking about ignorance etc
Think he might get off with it
Harry Redknapp said he knew nothing of the account, ignorance!
No he didnt idiot.. he said he never used the account
He said hje knew nothing, that his accountant did everything for him.
He pleaded ignorance, hence why he didn't declare the first time he was questioned and kept the account quiet until it was proved to be real.
Ignorance.
"It's interesting because the Judge is saying that Harry can't be found guilty and Mandaric gets cleared, but Harry can be cleared with Mandaric being found guilty."
Not really. The transaction is effectively illegal.
The judge can place more weight on whether the sender or recipient had more intent. Given that Mandaric is supposed to be a "proper" businessman, ignorance/stupidity pleas etc are less plausible.
Let's just wait and see, shall we?
My hunch is he'll get a big fine and suspended sentence.
Harry has been shown to give contradictary evidence throughout from when first interviewed to the trial.
He has had an ever changing story, which does not look good.
Hard to see how they can get off. I run my own business and just can't see any way you could explain that kind of thing away. Mind you Ken Dodd did on the 'naive and child like funny man defence' so anything is possible. Question is if he doesn't get off where does that leave him? Must be the end of him as England manager which might be good for you lot - he has done a top job for you.
