Quite surprised how high Liverpool are, considering no CL.

Just shows though that if we can get into the CL next season, it's really going to give us a much needed financial boost.

Come on 4th...

You shouldn't be mate, we are a huge club with a massive following. Our owners have already secured us some great sponsorship deal, if we qualify for the CL, I can defo see us cracking the top 5 possibly.

Surprised with the difference between Chelsea and Arsenal..it's not much considering they seat nearly 20000 more every home game.
I think it's due to that poor Emirates deal they struck in the beginning

Madrid and Barca wouldn't even be top two if it wasn't for the differences in how clubs sell the TV rights.

Valencia the only other Spanish club on 19th, what a shame?

As much as it pains me to say it, if Real and Barca didn't have that advantage, Man Utd would be top by a mile.

So how does this TV deal work for Barca and Real and when was this established. Do they always get all of their games shown live on TV or something.

I'm with an Arsenal fan and he says Arsenal would be higher with regards to revenue if it wasnt for them having to repay debts???

Is this true????

I was basically pointing out the fact at how close Chelsea and Arsenal are.

Gulits ghost - I think it is wrong because why would you take stadium debts away from revenue, surely it would be profit.

I think Chelsea as so close to us because they have much better sponsers and got into the world tour during pre season way before us.

I think at the end of next season most of our sponships will be up for renewal and that will help up alot. also we have started touring the world during pre season will help raise quite a bit.

that shows revenue- what each team brought in. Chelsea and Arsenal bring in almost the same!

didn't expect that!

how would those figures look without champions league money?

These findings support a question I've always asked for Chelsea: Is a new (bigger) stadium REALLY that neccesary?

Until Arsenal moved to the MEirates Chelsea for many years (even pre Roman) actually brought in more revenue, it is only in the last 2 or three years that Arsenal got ahead. The gap has closed and that is interesting.

One of the reasons we had higher revenues previously was that we had more corporate allocation than Arsenal in the past. If I recall correctly our game against Liverpool, the last game of the 2002/2003 season that saw us qualify for the CL (just before Roman bought us) was the first Premier league game to produce gate reciepts of 3m.

Today our merchandise sales globally go a long way to adding to our revenues.

The repayments have nothing to o with these numbers GG.

They sell their own rights to the highest bidders.
In England, the Premier League sells the rights to games and each games is sold at an equal price, meaning each team gets an equal share of income. In Spain; Real's and Barca's deals dwarf the rest.

I had heard somewhere that this would be stopping in the next couple of years and that TV rights would be sold and managed collectively like the premiership. If it happens could be interesting, in more ways than one. e.g. What if La Liga replaces the premiership as the league to follow?

Sadly Arsenal are way behind the likes or chelsea, Liverpool & United in this department.

If we DO improve this then i reckon we could be pretty close to United and certainly ahead of Bayern.

If we dont get into the CL this season i presonally reckon it will force the board to stand up and actually support Wenger in the Transfer Market.

If we dont make it this season im 100% we will make it the season after as with less games our players will be fresher and wont suffer these stupid injuries that always plague us.

That's thanks to their participation in the CL last season. Man City will go above Spurs in next years rankings.

Revenue figures do not mean an awful lot unless you show what has gone out by way of expenditure.
