I'm thinking about what to have for dinner.
It's true that he is still innocent until proven guilty.
However.....
I also firmly believe that Anton Ferdinand didn't wake up that day thinking " I know what, I'll wrongly accuse Somebody of Racism today and ruin their career just for a laugh".
Terry's past reputation hasn't helped either. He is not adversed to controversy is he?

That would be an interesting point, but Anton Ferdinand wasn't the one that accused Terry of racial abuse .
Not really sure to be honest, I think after the week i have had a takeaway is on the cards, Pizza or curry ? tough one that.

Anton Ferdinand DID NOT HEAR what JT said in fact the only person who did hear what was said was JT himself.
I'm cooking neon, I was thinking of kung po chicken, but I also need to cook for my 6 month old and I doubt he'll like that.

Yes he might be innocent until proven guilty but you must be able to see why The FA wouldn't want to have him as captain as it looks bad for the nation. The same would be said if it was a rape or murder case against him.
He was given the choice to stand down and any intelligent person would have realised that if they refused it would have been taken away from them.
Had he come out and said that he was standing down until after the trial as he feels it would not be good for the nation at the Championships with the unneeded extra press attention then I think a lot of people would have more respect for him. After all he would be doing it for his country rather than his own potential personal glory (if we had won).
Trail by Social media, so many people think he is guilty already just because he has history???
And the scousers say we have no history.
Is that rhetorical?
I don't see how people can possibly blame Terry for any of this. He continues to preach his innocence, the FA are the one's who took it upon themselves to remove his captainacy without fully commiting to their own involvement by removing him altogether. By doing that they basically created a fork whereby either Capello, Terry or both had to walk away to defuse the ticking bomb the FA had planted in the camp, instead of the FA doing it themselves. Very sneaky.
I said earlier today that sacking Terry as captain was not the FA's call to make, it should have been Capello's.
That said, Capello made bad judgement in reapointing Terry as captain in the first place.

I keep hearing that he should have stepped down as Captain, until after the trial, but people fail to understand one thing...what if he didn't say anything 'racial' to Anton, do you still think he should have stepped down as Captain?

The bad judgement was taking it off him in the first place!
Especially given who he passed it on to!
The God Fowler.
It sounds easy to step down as Captain, for an offence/accusation he isn't guilty of, doesn't it?
Maybe you should walk a mile in his shoes, and see how it feels.
Scenario: Assuming your co-worker accuses you of something you didn't do, would you step down as a Manager of the company, in order to avoid unrest in the work place, until after the trial?

Totally different scenario. You are talking about the hopes of a nation.
Besides, in a normal working environment, the accused is usually suspended until a verdict is reached.
The funny thing again is outside of England guess what.........no one cares. Only the English care what is happening, this isnt even a news story anywhere else. Why people are saying this will look bad on the nation i have no idea, because no one outside of England cares, they only report on the carp being spewed by the English gutter press. Look at news stories from around the world and you will see no one is reporting on this issue apart from the English.
