I am getting fed up with people telling me that no top 4 is a tragedy, you should have been here when under the watchfull eye of a Mr Hoddle, we fell through the top flight like a stone, or were relegated by Spurs, or nearly dropped into the 3rd tier of this countrys football.

The Chelsea team in 2002 was a good one from what I remember. Gave us a good game in the FA Cup final, too.

We had a fantastic team between 1997-2000. I loved that team with the likes of Zola, Poyet, Desailly, LeBouef, Wisey, Petrescu, DiMatteo etc.

I actually think that team was arguably better than our current Chelsea team.

It was certainly more successful. Between 1997-2000 we won 2 FA Cups, European Cup Winners Cup, League Cup and Super Cup.

I always loved that Chelsea side.

Nope, just my opinion but we were worse last year under Ancelotti pre-Feb and under Scolari in 2009 pre-Hiddink. During both those runs the only thing that was giving me encouragement was the proven resolve of these players.

With the exception of yesterday's disgrace, we've actually been creating chances. We've been an on-form CF away this season from running Spurs very close.

I followed us everywhere in the 70's and they were probably our worst side in recent memory (worse than the 80's) - as rubbish as there were they put in 100% more effort than this current side do - Mike Fillery apart!

Are you sure? Torres is the reason for our wretched performances this season and the reason we find ourselves 10+ points away from Spurs? I find it hard to agree with that
