Mancini has said throughout this boring tu rd of a saga that he can come back if he acknowledges what he has done wrong, there's no change of tack happening here.
As for fan reaction, it ain't good and quite rightly so. I just feel hollow towards him, always knew he was a mercenary but the goodwill has finally run out. I for one, will go against the mantra of never booing an individual in a blue shirt.
The owners probably said "Bobby, we have to let him train again with the squad or else he can walk away from his contract and we'll lose £25m".
He needs to make himself 'Available' to do that. Thats all this is, giving himself a potential legal leg to stand on.
I hope the owners have instructed Mario to chin him on his first traing session.
I hope people stop leaving polite yet ill informed enquires all over our board asking about the whole business. Sick of even reading the name.
I agree with Boris, it would be breach of contract to stop him coming back and give him a chance of trying to get back in the fist team. The contract would be void and he goes to Santos or wherever as a free agent.
i meant first team ! Freudian slip !!

I read somewhere that if that did happen, the money would effectively be "written off" according to FFP rules. I hope it's true otherwise I'm not buying Viz again.
yeah it would be written off as opposed to a 25m income.
Siempre, if it was up to me I'd make him join a fist team, preferably one conisting of ex Yorkshire miners.
Before everybody gets too hysterical consider this,
Carlos and his tribe of weasels have had it blow up in their face with the January transfer. They're in difficult position - he needs to be showcased before he goes in the summer so that Jizzbum can get top dollar.
Our owners are nothing if not intelligent pragmatic businessmen. One could argue that they will protect their asset and work to exploit it at it’s maximum value i.e get it up to speed/fitness, put it in the shop window, and sell on.
However, they also have a demonstrably long term plan both for the club and the community. I genuinely believe that they’ve tapped into the mentality of the city fan (forget what the wums and knoobs say on here) and the thought of a stoney silence as Carlos walks on to the pitch fills them with dread – we know he won’t get booed, and when it comes to it … no you won’t.
Also every arab I’ve ever known has struck me with two character traits – 1. if they’re your mate then they’re your mate forever and 2. They have an evil sense of justice.
My moneys on him taking Bridge’s place with the kids making him squirm, lasting about three weeks, and then doing one back to Beunos Aires.
The point about Rodney Marsh is very pertinent and the city staff and players read these boards too.
Has to be said that City have lacked a touch of glamour without their poster boy.
There's a difference between writing off £25m to suit the FFP rules and actually receiving the cash so we can spend it on other players. Whatsmore I don't think our owners want to be seen as losers in the whole drama.
The guy is a complete helmet and a disgrace to Man City who have paid him millions and millions and millions of pounds.
If they back down they will look even more pathetic and Tevez does.
Why are City backing down, he's still contracted to train for the club and play when and if selected. Bobby hasn't named him in the EL squad and if we continue to top the league then there's no need for him to actually play.

What, in your eyes, would constitute City backing down?
United backed down over Rooney, something they wouldn't have done 3/4 years ago.
i would sit him on the bench for every game, get him to warm up for ten minutes but never bring him on. Karma.

To be fair Boris, in a world where Sheikh Mansour and his business partners can make hundreds of millions out of Barclays in a heartbeat, I reckon £25million can be found in various shoes in his closet.
As long as the balance is included in FFP, I don't think he'll have restless nights over it.
or make him eat mild curry every day in training. Korma.

I don't think Khaldoon wants to be seen as a man that can be stitched up by a semi-literate peasant and some Iranian slime-weazle.
