Clarke was sacked because even though he was given shed loads of cash, he couldn't get them up. He was sacked in a 2-minute telephone call last night and has taken his case to the LMA and its going to tribunal for unfair dismissal (BBC) So he wasn't expecting it then.

Hoyle the chairman has said they only have 14 games to get automatic and they have to start now with a new manager.

Warnock and McCarthey are the only options but we all know they can't work with Bates. Clarke has had a decent time at udders and I believe he was hoping to get the Leeds job and probably why Hoyle has binned him if the truth were known, but he isn't ready, and deffo not good enough even though Terry Macdermott could easily sort out our fooking defence
