It won't fold completely obviously but as a spectacle I think it's fairly obvious there won't be any interest. Take out one of the OF and you're left with zero. Plus if Rangers go I could easily see another few clubs hittin the wall. Without the OF Scottish football is nothing. Surely you can see that? It's the only thing Scotland has ever had to shout about. I can't see it going any other way.

Rats, we don't make that much from Sky.

Plus, say 50% of Rangers fans cancel their subscription...15% don't have Sky anyway...And 35% don't bother because they actually like football and want to watch the EPL.....Do you think it'll be much of an impact to Sky or the SPL?

I guess we'll find out soon enough.

And in any nightmare scenario, Celtic would still be able to subscribe thousands to a pay per view channel that filtered cash (admittedly not as much) to our competitors.

I think it's disingenuous to say that Aberdeen, Hibs, Dundee Utd fans would all walk away from their teams because Rangers folded.

Indeed, you may argue that the opposite could happen.

The TV money may not amount to much, but I'm sure you'll find it's helping keep Scottish football alive. Without Rangers and the TV money there will be no interest from anywhere. I can't see any other option but for the rest of the Scottish league downsizing A LOT, especially Celtic. They surely couldn't afford tokeep Celtic Park goin if it doesn't fill every other week. Which I'm sure will happen without any meaningful competition.

I'd love to keep the debate goin but still in work after 5 and people will start lookin at me funny if I stay any longer

Will check the thread later though. Cheers

Pistol Has plans in place Dos,like him or hate him he's great at what he does if Rangers had him youse would not be in this mess

Celtic as a club don't have any worries

Dos, we made a profit this year and reduced our debt despite the SPL and the country being at the lowest point in many years.

As football clubs go, we're the polar opposite to Rangers....As per usual.

Rangers fans will still subscribe to SKY...it was always about the Celtic

posted on 15/2/12

And I forgot to mention our young talented side who've increased their value as players over the last few seasons...Despite Celtic paying very decent amounts for them.

A good club structure it's called.

Dos,

You blaming Pistol noo fur yer demise

It's kind of the same structure as Ajax

posted on 15/2/12

Charlie, like Ajax...And Barca to an extent...You need a few generations of footballers to get a good youth team. Ajax will come back as a force I'd hope because of their set up.......But every team should train the way Barca should.

Perfect football.

Dos, do you have a source for these figures....Maybe a study on projected downturns....Or a financial report I missed?

How can you know unless it's happened?

Where are you getting these numbers?

Is this the same amount of questions I'd ask when talking to Craig Whyte for 15 seconds?

Methinks you're just mongering for the need to cling to your dignity. Gee it up, your pants are down.
