I think he will get his chance next season, it will solve our need for a fourth choice striker too.

We've been criticised for our current approach to young players, but the club have always maintained that if they are good enough they will get their chance - AJ & Savic have both been given oppertunities for example, neither have been particularily impressive either, but Guidetti has surely done enough whilst on loan to get his chance next season.
I hope so - not like Sturridge. Hearing for years how good he was and then never really getting to see him play for City. Interesting now to see the chatter about him moving on from Chelsea.

that's true. But I suppose he can only score goals against the teams he plays against. Unlike Samaras we won't have to fork out any money for Guidetti apart from to pay his wages so is a no lose situation.
Its been rumoured that Bayern Munich are after Guidetti, I would hate to see us not give him a chance then for him to go to Munich and bang in goals for fun.
The sturridge thing was skewed by a couple of things Kamikaze. Fisrtly he actually wanted away and refused to discuss extending his contract. We wernt really in a position in the league to be an atractive proposition for someone who was being tapped up (allegedly). Then when Sven left MH had a rant about why hadnt he been resigned, found out he wouldnt resign and decided to play the welsh card and went with Evans who got more game time.
I bet Sturridge looks at the league table now and thinks why didn't I just give City a chance for 1 more season to see what happened
I think people overrate Sturridge. Yes, he shows flashes of brilliance but I don't think he's consistent enough to be relied upon. He also lacks a decent brain; that was evident enough when he played for us. At the time I thought that Ched Evans was a better prospect; he just seemed to have more upstairs.
Guidetti, however, is a different prospect entirely. In the games I've seen him play in he has shown that he is almost the complete striker: two good feet, decent pace, good touch and awareness, can head the ball, and can finish. If he can raise all those attributes up another level he could really be soemthing. I just hope he gets a chance next season.
