D'Jeezus ,
We haven't even had a dismal 8 years, 8bit. It has been a lot more productive than Spurs 8 years.
==================
Clearly not.
1 > 0
15 years in a row > Being bitter that Chelsea mugged you of your CL place.
Tommy speaking sense as always
What has 1>0 got to do with my point?
Arsenal have built a new stadium, got world class training facilities, get CL football every season etc.
Spurs are desperate for a new stadium, better training facilities, CL football etc.
1>0 ? Not in terms of this arguement.
D'Jeezus
Until the days that football is measured on bigger stadiums & better training facilities, your point is a tad flawed.
PS.
8 > 5
1 > 0
PSS. Were you Gallasphemy on the old BBC606 forum?
where does it say that it's measure over an 8 year period thouh... why not 10, 20, 50 etc
I'd just like to congratulate Man City on winning the Championship, but bigger congratulations go to Arsenal for having built a new stadium, world class training facilities & get CL football every season.
pps, no i was D'Jeezus..
Is football measured on Carling Cup trophies nowadays?
Is football measured on the last 7 years?
I would football success was more measured on being in Champions League than winning a singular Capital One Cup. I doubt people across Europe even know what the Capital One Cup is.
That is why Spurs talked all season about getting CL qualification, and we never heard anyone talking about the Capital One Cup.
It is why there were millions of articles after Chelsea won the CL cup by bitter Spurs fan, yet after the Capital One Cup defeat in the first round you played was met was indifference.
All Spurs talk about is CL, a new stadium, new training facilities, joining the top clubs.
Arsenal never talk about a desire to win the Capital One Cup.
Youth Cup is more meaningful and prestigious than the Capital One Cup, and we won the Youth Cup since you won the Capital One Cup,.
When did anyone say Arsenal have achieved more than City in the last 8 years?
Man City have a new stadium and top of the range training facilities already.
Is football measured on Carling Cup trophies nowadays?
=================
Not just Carling Cup trophies no. But recent trophies in general, yes.
Hence "8 > 5" comment. And the "1 > 0" comment.
If I space out my comment like this
Am I more funny?
If it's all about trophies then how come our reputation is higher than Spurs on Football Manager?
1-0 me. I win
Well there we go. Again you are saying Portsmouth > Spurs.
Portsmouth won a trophy more recently than Spurs.
Football is judged on trophies.
This Portsmouth > Spurs.
Again you are being very simple.
D'Jeezus
Again you are saying Portsmouth > Spurs.
===================
I said no such thing. You are lying again.
Why do you tell fibs so much?
Anyone who claims a League One side is better than a Premiership side must be a total moron.
Then again, if the cap fits...
But you said we should judge things on trophies won recently.
So I did.
You said 1> 0
Portsmouth have 1 Spurs have 0
Thus by implication you said Portsmouth > Spurs.
Those who judge on a far wider spectrum than simply trophies won "recently" (10 years, in football terms, is recent so again you are being simple) would say there is no chance that a league 1 team can be better than a PL team. You, however, offer a simple arguement based on trophies won recently, which one can only conclude you think Portsmouth>Spurs.
No D'Jeezus he's saying Birmingham > Spurs, as they won it more recently than them
But you said we should judge things on trophies won recently
=================
I dont even know what it is you are judging to be fair. The facts are that our last trophy was in 2008, yours was in 2005.
As i said, i'm not getting into, and neither would i, a "my team is better than your team" debate. It makes you sound about 6.
I'm just telling you the facts, ie:
8 > 5
1 > 0
You can make of that what you will.
Yes, so that means Portsmouth > Spurs.
It also means Birmingham > Spurs
I dont even know what it is you are judging to be fair. The facts are that our last trophy was in 2008, yours was in 2005.
========
Just 25 minutes ago you said football was judged on trophies won "recently".
Thus by repeatedly saying 8>5 in terms of years without a trophy you are saying Spurs > Arsenal.
And by consequence, Portsmouth > Spurs.
You silly little 6 year old.
London Dave,
If, from the stats 8 > 5 & 1 > 0, you take it that a League One side is better than a Premiership team, then that is your opinion. Albeit strange. PS. I have bookmarked this comment in case i need to use this in future debates where you're concerned. I hope thats okay.
I've not, and am not, quoting "Team A s better than Team B" anywhere in this debate.
I'm just saying that 2008 is more recent than 2005. And that one trophy is more than no trophies. I'm not sure anyone can argue that, to be fair.
13 league titles are greater than 2
so... considering that arsenal fans consider them to be a european superpower ( !!!! )... surely its unacceptable to be well on the way to a decade with no trophy... and when you did get to a final you lost to a relegation side
Chicken bookmarking people
It isn't our opinion that Portsmouth > Spurs, we are just using your logic to show what an idiot you are.
