How are Valencia Spain's version of Arsenal? And we have outclassed Stoke on many occasions. This article makes little sense.

Unai Emery is coming to Arsenal this summer and bringing Solado, Banega and Pablo Hernandez with him.

not won a trophy since 2004, selling club etc. Capable of Champions league qualification, but not able to take the next step.

I know Arsenal fans prefer to compare themselves to Barca, but i think that's optimistic.

Unfortunately you haven't outclassed physical teams like Stoke all the time. You've frequently lost to them and had your feathers ruffled. AW has spent too much time over the years moaning about their style.

He'd actually be a very good replacement, when Wenger fianlly calls it a day.

Like Wenger he has to sell big players every season whilst qualifying for the CL. Mata and Villa to name but two.

Optimistic? The word you are looking for is rétarded, but then again, what Arsenal fans compares us to Barca?

"Unfortunately you haven't outclassed physical teams like Stoke all the time"

No we haven't but we have outclassed them most of the time and have not fared any worse against the likes of Stoke, Blackburn, Wolves, etc than any other team in the country. This article is about 3 season too old

Add Silva to that list.

His contract with Valencia ends this summer so it'll be interesting to see where he ends up, I hope it's Arsenal.

Do you think he'd sign for Arsenal? Especially if you're unable to reach the CL?

Last summer you were unable to sign any top players, relying on signing one promising youngster (Ox) to justify your summers work.

I like to use 'Ox' as a scrabble word. Very good way of getting rid of an 'x'

Where else would he go? Can't see him staying in Spain unless Pep leaves, Inter could be a likely possibility though.

Tbh I think Wenger's going to stay regardless of what happens this season because of our gutless Board.

posted on 17/2/12

Yes but unlike Wenger signing big names, Emery did not sign Villa, Silva, Mata or Pablo Hernandez.

TBF Arsenal always beat these "rugby" teams at The Emirates.

It's normal to struggle away against the physical sides in the prem, even us, City and United find it tough at the Brittania.

I think if we finish outside the top 4 he will resign.

Batmanu did you see the articles about him losing the rag with the team and giving them the hairdryer treatment with Walcott and others supposedly now fighting for their careers with Arsenal?

posted on 17/2/12

No AHB I didn't see it. Is the source even reliable? To be honest he should have been doing that sort of thing well over a year ago to show the likes of Cesc and Nasri that we had ambition to go forward as a club.

AHB- We might see a change in attitude for a while but once we get a couple of wins under our belt he'll be back to his usual self i.e starting the likes of Ramsey and Walcott again. The man just gave that good for nothing Djourou a 3 year contract extension, when is he going to learn that these players will never be good enough for Arsenal.

Definitely happened but as you say, what's taken so long for this to happen? Then again, if the penny is dropping better late than never.

I know and this is worrying. It is hard to imagine him turning from Mother Goose to brutal disciplinarian in the long-term. Still though, if he's acknowledging certain players aren't doing enough, then that's something at least (if he is to to stay beyond this season).
