But would he still be considered as cool?
Most ironic lyric in music history……’and I don’t have a gun’
Would have screwed up the Foo Fighters though.
HenrysCat..... And what a loss that would have been.
"smells like teen spirit" is the most overrated song of all time.
alot of people critisise the guy but tbf he's the last great rockstar whether you like it or not. has to be considered one of the most unique song-writers of all time as well. in utero absolutely blew me away.
i think going out at 27 was the right choice. he's almost become a myth <3
In retrospect, Nevermind was a terrible album.
"Nevermind was a terrible album."
You're wrong, but that's ok.

Boooo! Shush, you.
Nevermind was rubbish. The only two songs on there I'd listen to are In Bloom and Breed. Other than that, it's mediocre grungy tat.
In Utero is a thousand times better.
"In Utero is a thousand times better."
Hmmm, better yes, a thousand times better? I don't think so.
Either way, that certainly does not make Nevermind 'rubbish'. It's pretty far from rubbish, I could list hundreds of albums that are genuinely 'rubbish', but then many people would argue in favour of them too (they'd be wrong too ).
Nevermind was great when it came out, and is still great now - imo.
PS : Oh, the Foo Fighters first album is better than both. In case anyone was wondering. Offically.

Obviously you are under 25! one of the greatest songs of all time!
Screaming trees pi$$ on nirvana, best grunge band of them all.

I can't help but love Soundgarden with a burning passion. Chris Cornell's voice does things to me...
Soundgarden are up there, i'll give you that, speaking of cornell, his track "Seasons" on the movie "singles" soundtrack is just perfection.

Did you hear his unplugged set in Sweden? There was a torrent floating around for a while. It was breathtakingly good. He did a few renditions of Audioslave, Soundgarden and Temple Of The Dog tunes as well as a Billie Jean cover that moves me to tears.
I didn't, i'll have to look it up, temple of the dog, like a supergroup of all the great grunge bands, say hello to heaven and hungerstrike, christ, some great memories coming back here, loved all those bands, mother love bone, sebadoh, dinosaur jr, pearl jam, sonic youth, great stuff.

God, how I wish I wasn't an infant in the early 90's. It would have been amazing to hear those bands play live in their day.
I will definitely be listening to some grunge classics on the drive home today.
If he was still alive, i doubt Dave Grohl would have ever been in the Muppets!
Fortunately for me i was old enough to see a few of those bands over here and the best gig i ever saw was screaming trees live at newcastle riverside, my ears nearly burst and i put my raging tinnitus down to a lot of those gigs.
I saw Pearl Jam a few years ago at Reading - my first gig for a while. Almost fell asleep.

I was never the biggest Screaming Trees fan but I love Mark Lanegan. The tracks he recorded with Queens of the Stone Age were by far their best stuff.
Saw them at finsbury park in 93 with teenage fanclub, james and neil young, what a day.
