... and to think that new hair is only a year old too, eh?
It's a bit of a shame that he didn't become as good as he initially looked like he could.
He was incredible at Euro 2004, and although he has become a very good player since, I think he could've been even better.
Nearly 27, he's not ageing well. I think he will be spending more money soon on cosmetic surgery, he's had the hair transplant maybe he'll consider a face transplant in the near future.
You have to say, with the hype that surrounded him when he broke into the scene, Rooney has been very average. Sure he's a good player, but no where near as good as the media have tried to made him out to be.

Agreed. He became a world-class player, but failed to reach the level of 'the white pele' as some predicted.
He's not ageing well, but at least he can afford new hair. Mine's beautiful and natural, i don't need to be rich for that

happy birthday hair
I was watching Premier league classics a few weeks ago and I remember they showed that game, I think it was the 02/03 season, quality goal from Rooney that was....but my god he was one ugly teenager, I mean really, did Dreamworks base Shrek's looks after they saw Rooney.
Rooney is not world class.

I remember his debut well. Hat trick vs Fenerbahce.....with his shirt collar torn open.
he use to have dribbling ability back then on the ball but he has a different set of skills now that he didn't have back then
He'll finish his career at Goodison, I'm sure.

Translated this means, 'I wish'.
He's been one of the best players in the prem, in the last few years. but he doesnt help himself with his temper and off the field shenanigans.Stil easily England's best player after Lampard.
When does his united deal end?
Can't believe it's been 10 years time really does fly. An I completely agree Gregg Rooney has changed from that dribbling young lion to a more rounded player. I do miss that fearless player that would run at defenders.
2014....could we see him run his deal down and make a Goodison return?
He might one day if you didn't keep booing him when we come to GP.
I remember I was only young, 13/14, going to football the following day and warming up we were all trying to do 'a Rooney' haha.
Best English player to come through since Paul Gascoigne.
Plays more for the team now than for his own personal limelight.
Top drawer player, would love to see him back at Goodison one day.
Your academy has produced some quality players and it's nice to see Moyes bringing them through to gain experience and first team footie.
Agreed, I wish the numb skulls at our place would stop booing him, more chance of him coming back later in his career if they did
