Adam Clayton was from MCFC
Are you serious? Clayts is from England, Grella was sold by Grayson and Rogers played approx. 15 mins before getting smashed!
1* poor poor article
Oh and Grayson is gone......
but he's American by nationality and that's where he started his footballing career, I don't just mean American based players
Born in Manchester, Greater Manchester, Clayton joined Manchester City at the age of seven years old. He signed his first professional contract at the beginning of the 2008–09 season. Clayton made the subs bench against West Bromwich Albion and then in a FA Cup tie against Nottingham Forest. On 5 May 2009 he signed a two year contract extension
Clayton? Wasn't he from U2?? Now i'm confused. Grella was a success though
How can you even be serious about players that come from a country where they refer to football as 'soccer'....and ffs stop calling it SOCCER !....
firstly I'll apologise for my miss information, I could have sworn I read somewhere he was American, maybe it was he's eligible for America. but I'll still let my point stand, American footballers have always done well in England, buy American instead of just loaning young greedy player, long term thoughts
Lazlo you may be thinking bout Bradley Johnson who is eligible to play for the USA through his grandfather, or maybe Davide Somma who expressed an interest in playing for the USA, the only trouble being he was only eligible to play for South Africa and Italy!
oh and Harrington I know SG is gone hence me writing 'was' on to something, past tense
if I can remember the article it was I read I'll reread it and see where I got my mix up
Laxlo is this Miss Information American too? You got her number? I here these American birds are as dirty as the mighty Leeds United
maybe SG was on to something

American footballers have done well? Look at the size of America compared to the UK or Ireland? The sheer size of the states, you have to be able to find some decent ball players.
Grella scored a few goals a couple of good ones but never good enough for LUFC.
Rogers - we havent even seen properly
harj....I think you'll find the term 'soccer' originates from the UK, as shortened term for 'association football'...

Adam Clayton?!?!?!?
Born in Manchester has EFF ALL to do with Yanks, idiot!
deeda predictive text from a Japanese phone, I rarely pay attention.
Harrington football is a relatively new sport in America, if their creating good young players on the cheap then bring in more instead of wasting money on signing on fees, wages and greedy agent fees in England for old players or younger players that are on loan
AZA now now lad, easy does it.
infiniteone....thanks for that, i didn't even know that....anyway we came to our senses & called it 'football' which is what it is....only them across the pond call it soccer.....wonder if anyone else does ?....
harj the aussies do to, but I could have read that wrong somewhere to
No worries harj....I'm a bottomless pit of incredibly useless info...but I often call out fellow Brits on that one when they are frothing at the mouth about the Americans and their 'soccer'....
calcio.... means football in Italy - though if you said football it would be understood... 'soccer' you'd get a blank look
Football in America is a complete different ball game!..
The same as Rugby in England!..
I'm not sure, but I think football and rugby had something to do with each other before they made their seperate ways?.
In them days I'd say it was called murder ball!.
Clayton lol, Manchester City player wen we signed him, Manchester born aswell. How did Rodgers do on his brief debut?
Some of their players have been decent, as you say Clayton, but I reckon previous Americans that we've had have fared much better, Yeboah for instance, Batty, Bremner...........
The list is endless
Their officials are appalling though! They even have to import them?
