how can you put the midweek international in between the two club games so the players are away all week and we have man u on that weekend after.

if they wanna organise pointless friendlies then why dont they just take a weekend, or do it after the season.

why dont they just have the friendly at the end of the season? its appraoching the run in now and the fa have stepped in an attempt to mess us up.

I don't see the point in friendlies full stop apart from in the summer as a build up to a tournament.

exactly,. the only reason for this game is the fa making back some money on wembley stadium so they need to sell some tickets.

You only have two players in the squad even if they were to get injured, you have strength in depth at Spurs.

Groovy you have one player in the Dutch team what if he gets injured talk about lack of depth at Arsenal.

Completely agree, what a daft time to have a meaningless friendly. What is more stupid, is the International friendly the midweek before the season starts.

Do you remember when England played Netherlands at WHL in the midweek before the season started, and David James, who had made a big transfer that summer, broke his leg in the game and was knackered before he'd made his debut for his new club.

Unbelievable

We don't have strength in the striker positions,we should have borrowed one like you did.

You should have otherwise you wouldn't be going to mass everyday praying to God that RVP doesn't get crocked.

While I understand your concerns Chronic we've only got Walker & Parker in the squad. I would suspect Richards will start anyway, so that leaves us with just Scotty to worry about.

As sea-the-stars said - Arsenal fans should be a lot more worried about the timing of this friendly.

As you know I do enjoy international football and although the timing's far from ideal we do need friendlies like this to try and form a team.

Terry and Ferdinand can no longer be relied on at the back, we need to sort out a first choice CB pairing for the Euros. It's great to see Pearce in charge and putting faith in the youngsters - it's what the team needs and could even see him get the job permanently if they do well.

This could be a blessing in disguise

The olympics? I can't see that anyone will care that much to be kicking the shiyte out of Bale
