Where are the Aussies and the Lankans?

Even if India are out of the final, India will be plenty to play for

Morning All,

First time poster here having given up on a few of the other somewhat lifeless cricket forums so thought i'd try here as i've only just come across it.

Looks like an exciting finish coming up here in this match, jeeezz Chandimal looks a great prospect, always been impressed when watching him.

Can't believe how bad NZ England and Sri Lanka have been at chasing down run-a-ball totals. Shocking

Welcome U13267,

Most fans here are either English, Indian or Pakistani.

So it would be nice to see people of other nationalities.

Chandimal looks great, but have SLs chances gone with him.

Yes some shocking batting, but also nice to see bowling sides fighting til the end and still believing like R Kelly and Cher.

There have been times in the past where as soon as the team got a around a run a ball, the bowling side's heads used to go down.

Well i'm another England fan i'm afraid. Think most of the boards i've been on and seen are full of England , Indian and Pakistani fans. A few Aussies here and there but they quickly disappear at certain times.

Be surprised if Sri Lanka don;t finish this game off now, Mathews being the key man now. Some really good ODI games of late, not bad for a format that was supposed to be dead in the water a few months back.

True, I just joined myself a few days ago.

This is the reason that bbc message boards were so enjoyable, not because of any other reason, but the fact that so many nationalitites and views were represented.

Anyway, plenty to talk about if you are English. Like how Lumb will celebrate being the player of the tournament at the T20 World Cup.

At last someone else who'd like to see Lumb in the T20 side. Think we will miss a trick if we don;t give him another go, his chance was too limited when he got it and didn;t do too badly. A good tonker of the ball.

I think 50 over ODI cricket will be fine.

It struggled from the initital excitement of the T20 format, but now that novelty is wearing off, all 3 formats seem to have their place in the game.

Well said, he should definitely be in the side, that's what you want at the top of the order, as you said, a good tonker.

Matthews gone, Aussies got to be favourites now.

Yeah that's a massive wicket for Aus, changes the game totally. Lanka will kick themselves if they don;t get over the line.
