Under normal circumstances I'd be under now rush to get him games but two things to consider are both how experienced he already (albeit at a lower level) paired with his physical prowess but also that fact that the alternatives simply aren't doing it. I really don't see what we've got to lose but given the lad a chance, but we've everything to gain.

He does deserve some game time but not as a starter just yet, big big jump from reserves to fighting for a CL place

I disagree. We are in a desperate moment and both Torres and Drogba have been awful recently.

Lukaku was first choice striker in Belgium so it´s not as if he´s only ever played reserve football.

Many people used to say that Sturridge wasn´t ready when used to play for the reserves when clearly he was ready.

Lukaku can´t continue to play in the reserves forever and we desperately need to play an in-form striker who can lead the line.

I would rather see a front 3 of Mata Sturridge Kalou.

I agree Torres and Drogba should not be 1st choice, but no matter what we think im sure AVB has a plan to surprise us all.

Maybe next year we should do a chelsea team predictor bet no one would ever get the starting 11.
