Yet again we are turned over by a rank side who we should be thrashing. Hill is not the manager for this club. Anybody can talk but its performances and results that keep this fan happy ... not rhetoric

Listened to the live commentary and we were so negative and defensive that we never even threatened the Coventry goal once in the second half.

Cov were there for the taking yet we did not have the ambition or belief to try and get the 3 points.

You just knew the sucker punch was coming and of course it did. Poor result but even worse and more worryingly, yet another 'sackable performance'.

How can you say Hill isn't the manager for this club? We're still 14 points ahead of the bottom 3, have put in some cracking performances against the likes of Leeds and Leicester (home and away) having spent naff all in the summer.

I will admit though he got it spectacularly wrong today playing one up front, and I really sincerely hope that was a one off. Words cannot even begin to describe how utterly useless we were. There was no passion, no effort, and not even the slightest bit of urgency going forward. We just seemed content to hoof the ball to Davies, or play it to the wingers who would then play it back to the defence who would then hoof it back up to Davies. Coventry were woeful in the first half and if we'd have actually gone out and tried to attack them I'm adamant we would've won. But for some reason we didn't, and we got what we deserved albeit in the 90th minute. Those same players have put in some brilliant performances this season, but they ought to be ashamed of today and look to put it right against Forest next week.

James, it wasn't a one off. There have been at least 5 performances this season, which have been just as bad. Not launching an attack on hill, but once more he's got it horribly wrong today.

Hill says he's disappointed by the result but will not criticise the players efforts. Obviously as they are all signings made by him you can understand this. The problem is his hands are tied by the management who will allow players to move on but not allow him to spend any income from transfers. Hill brought Vaz Te to the club for nothing and the club got half a million from his sale. With his record of buying and selling the management need to have more faith in this and release the purse strings a little. When Buutterfield moves on Hill will eventually tire of this and depart to fresh pastures. Finally I would ask with Cryne not putting cash into the club if we had not had the income from the sale of Vaz Te would we have been in admimistration. Half a million in the bank would soon disappear on 7000 attendances from League One football.

I know we've had some shockers this season (Millwall, Bristol City, Donny, Cardiff etc) but in my opinion today was by far the worst despite the solitary goal suggesting otherwise. There was simply no effort to attack at all. None. Zip. For 90 minutes. Hill even admits that the clean sheet was key for him and that he regrets bringing two attacking players on to try and win the game. My question is then at the second bottom club, who looked as clueless and devoid of confidence as we did in the opening 45, why not try and win from the start!? Why did he not go for a more attacking approach? On Tuesday at home to a team like Birmingham then fair enough, but to go out so defensively against a team that was there for the taking I just don't get. He didn't even feel the need to change the game plan at half time when it was clear that to have a chance of winning we'd actually have to play some football and stop hoofing it to the lone man up front. Cov fans coming out of the ground describing us as being "the worst team seen at the Ricoh for years" tells you just how abysmal we were.

It was embarrassingly poor football, Hill got it totally wrong, but I've faith in him and the players to learn from their mistakes and sort it out next game, he and they know that they can do so much better. Rant over.

Just can't see the point of this negative approach to away matches. Both Davey and Robins were boggers for it and now Hill seems to have caught the disease.

A 3-2 defeat is pretty much the same as a 1-0 defeat...and if we don't attack we're not likely to win many....But what really worries me is the shift towards hoofball, this will drive away even the die-hards

I must admit I do try to see positives when assessing us but yesterday was shocking players out of position
4 1 4 1 for sum reason no attacking intent at all we set up for a point against a team that were very poor even with us giving them the ball all game with misplaced passes a long ball from defence they didn't have a clue just don't understand why we didn't attack them they were fragile and a atrackimg side would have won comfortably yesterday was very poor worst I've seem in a long time! Hopefully we will go out to attack against forest

Very little evidence of this 'brand of football' I keep hearing about. We are turning into a long ball side, devoid of creativity. Coventry are a poor side and they made us look even worse. 45 minutes against derby is not enough

Very balanced Brighton except for the midfield comments. Yes, we lost our entire midfield and yes, the new boys need time to bond, but the worrying factor for me is that in recent games we have been playing direct and totally bypassing the midfield! I've been one of Hillcroft's biggest advocates, but on recent displays even I am running out of excuses...

Don't disagree with most of that Brighton. But the midfield debate becomes irrelevant, when edwards launches every ball 30 yards over the midfield for 90 minutes, and McNulty just launches it to anyone playing for the other team. Time will tell and I'm a patient man. But this is becoming worryingly too frequent at the mo...

Give it a rest Cooling. Your track record is 5 or 6 games without a win and then it's sack everyone and their dogs and cats.

I will admit that I laughed at Brighton asking a few of the boo boys to look at the big picture.
