You lads are hurting make no mistake!

I'm not sure how anybody is hurting, this afterall was only a friendly game. Furthermore, it's not as if we're used to winning games and especially not friendly games.

These games only serve to get some of the fringe players experience. Experience on a level most of them will never have had the chance to achieve.

The last time I remember playing against norway, I actually attended the game and we lost 4-1. So this is progress.

Ha ha good point! I really feel for Michael O'Neill all the same. Friendly or not he put on a brave face to face the cameras after the match but he looked a bit shellshocked to me. And the poor man resorted to Nigel speak by talking about seeing "positives out there tonight"!

You are very clever are you? The whole point of the friendly game was to give players chances to prove to the manager they have what it takes, to be involved in the squad. Some players did that and that is one of the positives the coach got out of the game.

Now if you're here simply to get a rise out of people, let me know now, so I don't have to waste further time of talking to somebody on your level.

In fairness from what I saw of the highlights Mc Givern looks like a good prospect. Lee Camp ain't no Maik Taylor either. Not blaming him for the goals but he just doesnt seem to command his penalty area as well TaYlor used to.

Camp has been decent at club level but he needs the international experience which these types of games are for and this is the type of positive which can be taken from the game.

Well he would want to start adapting to International Football fairly quickly as you have to face Russia and Portugal in your WC qualifiers!

Indeed and this current team are not the best team we've had in recent years either. It does strike me as shocking how many our our so-called best players, have injuries before games but then turn out for their clubs.

The new boss needs to get control of that and make sure the best time is together as much as possible because the only way to beat teams better than you is to play as a team and that is not possible if they are not spending a lot of time playing together.

Looks like Healy will be let go by Rangers today and maybe Lafferty. Davis should be ok. Who knows ROI under 19 goalkeeper Alan Smith could be fasttracked into the Gers first team next season!

I hope Davis is sold. I think it was a very bad move for him early in his career. I think he should have stayed in England, where I believe he would have progressed more.

Going to Rangers or playing for the wee occupied six is a bad career move for any player. Imagine having a CV of Rangers and the wee six. Just don't think there would be too many English Premiership teams or Championship teams getting to excited.
Wasn't it marvelous that they managed to slip Neil Lennon into the stadium of hate without the billy boys seeing him.

Give it a rest with you "biggoted" comments ffsake!! I see Summer Magic has been banned once again!!
Wonder who was responsible for that

You have singlehandly ruined any chance of a bit of Football banter on these boards with your constant non sequitar postings that invariably have sweet FA to do with Football

posted on 1/3/12

Summer majic being banned is nothing to do with me.

Who is he anyway??????

posted on 1/3/12

Its just a coincidence that you were warning him that he would be banned and then hey presto his profile is under moderation restrictions!!!
Look if you can't put up with people having a bit of banter at your teams expense you've no business been on here!!!
Look at the Rangers fans for instance . They're being slaughthered by the Celtic fans at the moment and they (well the ones who are still left posting on here) are given it back instead of going off crying like a little girl to the Mods

Why were you banned on the NI board anyway Robbie? Only asking, dont jump down my throat...

posted on 1/3/12

No probs Alex. I mailed the Admins and they told me that I was getting into two many arguments with Mr "lol"! He subsequently was banned also from thdm ROI board which is a shame because he was like a good luck

posted on 1/3/12

Ooops posted too soon! Meant to say he was a good luck charm to us. Everytime he predicted the ROI would lose we won! Similar effect with Neil Lennon. He had Lennon and Celtic written off ages ago and we all know what happened there!

Banter is banter and Rangers and Celtic have been involved in that for years. However with your bigoted comments, intended for the sole purpose of getting a rise, nobody is interested in any form of banter with you.

Reading down through this and have to laugh. Darren ake Megans dad etc how can you call anyone bigoted after some of your comments over the years and as for going on about someone being banned how many times have you been banned.
