Cant believe im saying this , but i dont think Boys in Green is a bigot. A major WUM , yes. To be fair to him , most of the topics are about football. He is in love with all things NI as he cant stop talking about the place.

Didnt realise that people south of the border used the word Republic. Thought they just said Ireland. There , ya learn something new everyday.

Jimmy Quinns goal wasnt too bad either

In terms of importance it fails into insignifance compared to Alan Mc laughlins sucker punch later on! I actually fell on broken glass that night celebrating! 10 stiches on my right arm. Stll have the scars to this day! Still the nurse in the A&E was a cracker so wasnt all bad!

Man yerself Alex , that Ireland/ R.O.I. reference might well shove it over the century mark, albeit running on fumes.
Re the Up the Republic thing, iused to hear it as a nipper at matches, when Don Givens would knock in a hat-trick agin the U.S.S.R. , course them were the golden years when Cooke and McCreadie were thrilling the Shed, not to mention the North Stand, with some magical dribbling
Btw, sounds like you're unfamiliar with goings on down Mexico way.Would you be the mirror image of Robbie, in that you've never been down here. Watch out for us,,, we don't bath, have too many babies n drink far too much .
P.s. , Jimmy Quinn's goal was a cracker right enough

I think anyone who doesn't know where the wee occupied 6 counties, really hasn't much knowledge of this forum's team or else has a very blinkered image and thinks this is a Country despite the fact it doesn't have a National Anthem. The football team is failing badly and this must be due to the fact that they are unable to attract their best young players. There are a few reasons for this and the sooner the IFA take this on board the better. It is still not too late to create a National Stadium that would seen to be neutral. Windsor Park never was isn't and never will be neutral.
Only a bigot would disagree. Gstq is not a suitable National Anthem if you want to attract players from all sections of the people..

.......................................................................

if one was inclined it would be very easy to get this bigot banned

Thanks for the insult regarding the likeness to Robbie. Ive probably been to Dublin more times than he has though. Down to Westport quite a lot when i was younger with the family too.

Was only asking the question, as im afraid ive never been to a ROI match before.
