People still moaning about Young....
Have a go at Nani, he did **** all and didn't score two goals.
If he had scored those two goals people would be going nuts over him.
nani created our second goal.
Fair enough Diablo. The reason I havent filtered you like CP and Tomatoes is essentially because I only disagree with you, no matter how vociferously, whereas I can't believe they arent wumming, and if they arent then I have no interest in engaging with them anyway.

Nani got the assist but credit should go to Jones for the quick throw and Modric for standing still and watching Nani run

which really is the point. the only player who played as a winger today (got to the bylines, put in crosses, ran at his man and on occasion beat them) was nani. but he did not score two goals and an assist. it is a hilarious dichotomy.
nani, in his attempt to beat players, make things happen made glaring mistakes which i guess you are more than happy to hammer on. but one of his attempts at making something happen led to young's first goal.
what was the great wing play that young did today? when i said he did nothing but scored 2 and assist, i knew what i was writing seemed silly, but it was how i saw it. granted if he can do that all season long i wont complain, but i would prefer him do what nani did today because that is our system.
WSLP,
Maybe in the heat of the moment, our non performance meant my emotions boiled over a little. We have issues in certain areas but the worst crime in my eyes is wasting the ball. When you see players like Scholes relinquish possession you know it could be one of those days.
As the events slowly unfolded, as De Gea was repelling chance after chance I was psychologically preparing myself for the defeat. We just did not perform to deserve anything.
When the goals did arrive I was laughing moreso than celebrating. It was the strangest of games. A game where if that were Utd in Spurs place and we lost by 3-1 I would be baffled. Spurs did not deserve that defeat but goals as they say wins you games.
We can be thankful, we can be considered fortunate but the lack of accuracy and performance cannot continue.
That game reminded me of tottenham winning 3-1 at fulham but they got battered even more that game.
yeah possession and passing was definitely an issue, I posted that myself earlier.
Clearly one cannot expect miracles from Scholes given his age. We were certainly over run in midfield. Yes, it gives the WUMs and those with a disposition to be overly critical the ammunition to bang on about lack of quality there.
The poor possession, the need to constantly get rid of the ball, be it unceremoniously in a direct fashion is something I cannot accept. Under Fergie, we are renowned for using the ball well, maybe not in the same league as Barca and would not win artistic awards but a professional side should retain the ball and release it only if it is worth releasing forward. What is the harm in passing it about in defence? We have able players but not ones courageous enough it seems.
Neither Carrick or Scholes helped the cause by misplacing passes or being caught out on the ball or positioning themselves to be able to receive a pass. It was static, it was chaotic, it was infuriating to watch!.
Neither of our full backs helped ease the pressure off the defence, who despite the constant bombardment, withstood most that Spurs could throw at them. Evans for me was MOTM.
