For once I would love to lose to Man U

Every team in the league are due a whole heap of decisions to go in their favour when they play against Man U in that case.

Why can't you just accept that the reason you always lose to United is because they are miles better than you?

It hit his arm on the line. By the book it is rightly disallowed. In Spain he'd have got a yellow

To be fair mate, they won yesterday because we cant defend very well (or score goals it seems).

Ok the handball by Ade was a bit Harsh, but it was handball, had a Man utd defender handled in the same manner we would be clamouring for a penalty.

Im gutted we didnt get something from the game, but pleased how we played, apart from the lapses of concentration in defence, and maybe lack of shot to goal conversions, but the midfield held well until the third goal.

At the end of the day - Utd did what Utd do - Win against the run of play

God you'd expect this kind of pathetic victim mentality from LFC but now the spurs too??

Hey maybe you could wear anti handball t shirts and join the LFC bandwagon?!

just a thought!

I have read the article. Pedro Mendes apart what decisions have really cost you? United are winning most of the time a 'dodgy' decision goes their way. Apart from the 5-2 a few seasons back and even then a dodgy decision like that should have led to you completely capitulating.

The ball was going in the net, so by hand balling it which was clearly accidental we were gaining no advantage. The goal should have stood and the sky pundits agree.

That isn't true. The ball was going in until it hit Ade's chest. But he gained an advantage when the ball hit his arm, if his arm was not there the ball still would not have gone in as he had already blocked it with his chest.

Sky weren't adhering to the rules

Our goal that was disallowed was fair we always get done over by dodgy ref decisions when we play United but this wasn't one of them.

Many many decisions, to many to list. What about the gomes and nani incident 1 or 2 seasons ago. I am telling you even though they are better than us they get the decisions as well which makes it impossible to beat them. Id say if a championship side had played them the amount of times we have they would have a better record by the law of averages are record just does not stack up.

I disagree

and if it was at the other end id bet it would have stood

I can remember them getting a pen at Old Trafford at 0 - 0 when a Utd player fell over a blade of grass.

Then there was a Gary Neville hand ball in the Utd box somehow mysteriously not seen, and also a Ronaldo dive that was awarded with a pen at the Lane. The Gomes free kick / Nani goal last season.....

The list goes on and on.....

I really dont think that currently Utd are much better than Spurs, if at all. Problem is the majority of Refs crumble under pressure from Ferguson and others just simply love Utd.

I doubt we are the only club to suffer.

Correct. It was handball and the sooner people stop bleating about it, the better.

Agree with a previous comment here, this Article does sound very much like an LFC Article, playing the victims card.

Well done to so many fans who are able to point out all the controversial moments that go in United's favour, while no comments whatsoever of all the times moments go in other teams favour, anywhere!

At the end of the day, this smiley sums up the OP.

"3-0 loss at Old Trafford was because we had half our team injured "

-----

You had 3, maybe 4 starters out injured. You could argue the same of Man Utds team that day.

Everyone feels so done over by this handball i really can't see a difference between this one and Thierry Henry's against Ireland. If he doesn't use his hand it's gone away from him if he doe's he used it to control the ball to make a goal.

Adebayor was trying to get out of the way FFS, why would he intentionally handle the ball when it was going into the net

What about the 3-1 at WHL 2 seasons ago, when we scored the first goal, and they went down to 10 men in the second half and still scored to make it 3-1? No excuses there. We just need to grow some balls against United for once and play with belief we're going to win.

Look at it the fact he was in the way means nothing he was there which is his fault, but when it hit him if it hadn't hit his arm the ball would have gone well away from him so if he hadn't used his arm there wouldn't have been a goal full stop.

So when the ball was 6 yards across the line because they were miles better than us, so that was why it was disallowed. Get a life mate, we know United are better. The article though is about why United always seem to get the rub of the green.
