If none of the players showed any desire they deserved to be booed, but I don't think it was true. It was as Robbo said a lack of putting away our chances and many players were guilty of that and not getting on the end of crosses Lewie was sending in.

I thought their goal was off side, but I didn't think the crowd shouted for it, which didn't help. The team need to get on the training ground and work on their finishing.

We've seen it many times before, and not just this season, but the continued lack of any plan B in games like that, is getting very frustrating.

Only 12 shots all night. Only 25% of them were on target... against ten men parking the bus.

Where did Smith disappear to?

These dropped points & yet more stupid suspensions will probably be the difference again this season.

Booing doesn't help encourage the team to play better though.

Anyone got a banner with a target painted onto it and SHOOT! in big letters, to put behind the cowshed end goal at half time on Saturday?

COYD!

A brilliant idea SG19. How about having flashing lights on the goal posts and cross bar as well?

On a positive note, at least Smith didn't get booked.

SG19, you haven't thought this through, if you put up the banner at half time and MK Dons are defending the goal in front of the Cowshed, the own goals will go flying in

I do agree with the need for a Plan B, when teams do as Yeovil did, it is no use playing attractive passing football. I really think this is Robbo's one big failing and could certainly cost any chance of an Automatic place. Any team fighting for a point will adopt the same strategy as Yeovil and hope to score on their occasional break which will mean losts of 0-0 draws and even worse 0-1 losses at Stadium:MK

Great minds think alike, Furz. I also considered suggesting high pressure air jet equipment situated on the goalposts & crossbar to invisibly divert any of our many off target shots, back onto target...

We normally always play towards the Cowshed in the 2nd half, Bill, but just in case they win the coin toss on Saturday and have been reading this thread, we should indeed be ready with the

" SHOOT! > HERE! < "

banner, right from the kickoff, to avoid assisting the opposition with any unwanted own goals...

Perhaps Robbo should fine any striker whoi doesn't have 10 shots on goal in a match. He could put all the money into a fund and use it to make season tcikets cheaper for those who renew next season.

If he also finded people for Red and Yellow Cards, ol' Smithy could pay for the whole of the Cowshed

just got back - so interesting catching up on all the comments in regard to the game.

Why dont the team train for the half time "cross bar" challenge, as bless them most of those end up in the net. Our strikers could learn a thing of two

I have thought of that as well, but I imagine it would be very embarrassing when a six year old beats them.

Just read Robbo's comments saying if you though MK Dons were bad you should see the other sides.well, I had ten minutes, so i quickly looked at the stats from Tuesday games for the top 6 sides

Charlton Had 10 Shots on target but didn't score
Sheffield United had 6 on target and scored 2
Sheffield Wednesday had 9 on target and scored 2
Huddersfield had 5 on target and scored 1
Notts County had 4 and scored 1.

MK Dons had 3 on target and didn't score any.

I agree with him that booing doesn't help, but it understandable if the team on average shot once every 30 minutes.

He needs to accept that sometimes you have to come away from pretty football to get the result, and 100 passes without a shot, is a 100 passes wasted

I agree Robbo can be over sensitive about people booing, but he has a point considering how many other managers say we are the best team they have played.

Ian Wright could now be our most important signing. As the strikers coach he has to show them how to put the ball in the net. Come on Wright I know you are up for it.

Furz, I am not disputing that MK Dons do play the most attractive football in league 1, the point is though to get a result you sometimes need to play unattractive football.

The thing I don't like about Robbo is the way he disparages other clubs when they (from a results perspective) are more effective. - I know, I know, I should get over him insulting Wimbledon, but the fact is that by Brentford adopting "the Old Wimbledon style" they turned a 3-0 defeat into a 3-3 draw, and rather than him thinking "oh that change of tactics worked", he inferred they didn't play football the right way.

I agree Bill and I can see other managers using it in their pre match team talk. I can just imagine them saying that Robbo thinks we are too good to play them, that he thinks we are Barcalona and they can't play. He has to work out a way to big up our team without belittling others.

Oh and MK Dons 3 - Exeter 1.

I said 3-0 the other day, and I will stick with it, but with Dean picking up L1 POTM, he probably won't score again in March

If MK Dons don't win, I am going to go back to predicting 2-2 whilst they are still in a playoff place.

OK Bill, you need to keep "saying things the other day" so say something now about the next game and then you can stick with it next Friday

Chesterfield 1 - 3 MK Dons. Dons' goals scored in 1st half 16-30 minutes and the last 15 minutes of the 2nd half.
