After last night theres no doubt why we cant go for 2nd spot, yes the Pigs have a game in hand but they seem to be burning out seeing as they have lost 3 out of four. We have to game each game as it comes and play in the same vain as last night, if we do then theres a great chance for us <slaps his head at claridge-esque view point>
Town arn't burning out mate, will be HUGE on 7th April !!
Indeed it will Wether, it seems like you are grabbing hold of our ankles as we try and climb into 2nd, 7th April will be the day when either we kick you in the face and you fall into the depths...or you climb over us and take our place...we'll see eh!!
Bloody Claridge-isms
I'd be very happy with us both following Charlton up, as long as we take 2nd, I have had enough of them play offs !!
I dont know what will happen but a Wednesday v United playoff final might actually be the end of me if that happened!
It could have been the end of my marriage too as the original date for the final was on my wedding anniversary but it's been moved forward a week now should we need it, thank Christ
Up the owls!!!!
Nice article Steel Owl.
Dave Jones passed the first obstacle with a convincing win over one of the better sides in the division.
Lets see how Jones sets us up for Bournemouth.
One swallow and all that ...

It'll be the end of all of us me thinks, theres only so much an Owl can take
Yebbut we've got the sign on them haven't we? 2-0 and they fcuked it up and we won last week and the last time we went to Wemberlee with them we did em
So you're saying that Dave Jones is a voodoo King Oval.
Papa Doc Jones and his Danny Wilson doll? He did come back from the dead on the day he was confirmed in post ...
"I dont know what will happen but a Wednesday v United playoff final might actually be the end of me if that happened!"
Bit dramatic.
It's only a game, afterall.......
I don't think the result was a flash in the pan. Personally, I could see it coming with Antonio settling in. The urge for wingers to provide for the strikers has been well focussed on here. JJ never filled that gap.....great speed with sometimes a well placed shot on the end (not often enough), but never a well placed pass to a fellow striker in a decent position !!! Marshall's exit was paramount to our demise and to the machine's goal drought. There are a lot of winnable games coming up and our task compared to that of our neighbours is worthy of a dollop of quiet confidence I can well see us overtaking the blunts, but a careful eye over the shoulder at Udders is still very much needed.
As much as I like Megson ..
..Take last nights game with Megson in charge
..2-0 up and we would have shut up shop..
..2-1 and we would have been holding on for 22 minutes
Say yes to revolving door management
..every 3 games should do it..
..keeps the players on their toes
where is the colonel when you need him?
JJ down the other. A terrifying prospect for ANY team, I would have thought!
-------
A terrifying prosepct for us too!
Jones will hopefully stick with his namesake who had his best game in a Wednesday shirt last night. JJ is a complete liability. Great for the last 10 minutes if we are struggling but thats it - fat to inconsistens and can't cross, surely mandatory for a winger.
IMO I think Jones will get shot at the end of the season. MJ is solid and gives the team balance, Prutton isn't the answer either, not a natural winger and thus couldn't provide the service.
Great effort last night - kept it simple, players in their rightful positions, knocked it about a bit and hey presto! Some Goals.
One more striker on loan could be the difference..as I have mentioned before, I't be good to see Earnshaw here..def do a job at this level.
