Brilliant post mate.Do you mind if I copy and paste that now and again?
Oh no........................................I'm off - the hardcore WUMS have arrived
I removed the posts by the offender because he wanted to refer to Heysel and Hillsborough on my article.

Depending on the context you might have been right but it is part of the history you are so proud of so has a place in debate too.

The 'article' mentioned was referring to how big wages and crazy transfer fees of modern times were ruining the game. So I felt that offending posts about footballing tragedies had no place in the thread whatsoever.
As you say it is a part of the club's history and it does have a place to be discussed, but only if it has any relation to the article
'As you say it is a part of the club's history and it does have a place to be discussed, but only if it has any relation to the article '
Fair play. But are all fans allowed to discuss these sensitive issues or just Liverpool fans?
A lot of LFC fans think it is not other fans' business

Everybody has an opinion. It'd be a boring world otherwise. From my point of view anyone can talk about those sensitive issues if they have something productive to add. What I can't have is some muppet who doesn't even have a clue about football posting all sorts of utter and offensive ramblings about the subject. If it's my article I'll remove the content.
In the same way I try to avoid sensitive issues concerning other clubs but if I feel I have something constructive to add to the debate then I will add it - but in a respectful and well thought out manner

And the posters who are not as intelligent or articulate: are they to be denied time on this forum?

The 'Naughty Naughty Chavski' article was dead and buried I thought. It achieved what it was meant to do. If you cannot see that - fine. If you find the title of said article 'offensive' then
The article was actually aimed at all the WUMs and idiots who were polluting the Liverpool board at that moment in time (mainly Chelsea and Utd WUMS)
Regarding your post earlier were you were saying that I was running away and not replying - you were in a not too 'clever' way having a very distasteful dig about the sensitive issues mentioned in another post.
In my book that post didn't warrant a reply - which is a shame because you seemed a knowledgable poster with a sense of humour, but like a lot of posters on here you just cannot help yourself.

Once again chopper you have it spot on.
Liverpool fans are unable to accept any critisism of their club at all but they enjoy giving it out.
The fans of other clubs just laugh it off but Liverpool fans are unable to do that.
They will call Chelsea a rich mans toy but always fail to look at their own history. They were created as a rich mans toy.
They will moan about what teams spend but when they had the upperhand and broke transfer records and paid the highest wages it was ok.
They are the worlds biggest hypocrites. They should sit down, look in the mirror and ask themselves why are they easily the most despised and loathed fans in the country.
and delusional. world most delusional set of fans i have come across.

Unfortunately there are well documented events associated with Liverpool's history that do to an extent maybe 'taint' the footballing history in some eyes.
I was referring to the footballing side of Liverpool and the fact that on a worldwide basis we are seen still as one of the 'Giants' of the modern game. Whether Chelsea fans or whoever fail to recognise that then on their own heads be it. I think fully grown men with an understanding of their clubs and football in general should be able to exchange football 'banter' without having to continually refer to tragic events linked to the club. It is indeed a fact that these events happened but in my book they have absolutely no relevance to what's happening on the footballing side of things.
I can have a bit of abuse or 'comeback' as good as the next man and like you have supported my club for a long time through thick and thin (more thin the last 20 odd years).
I responded on an article that when you look at it isn't going to win any literary prizes but displayed such an unfounded nonsensical barrage of abuse towards Liverpool that I felt compelled to reply
That goes with out saying Mr Chelsea

You're really not as big as you think anymore.
These things are hard to measure but the few indicators there are like overseas sales and 'surveys' suggest you've fallen from the top echelons.
Look even at the steps your own owners are making to attract young fans.Vastly reduced prices to attract kids.

Good to see that you can maintain a relatively normal level of decorum on this board. Pity it's not the same on the other boards eh?
