El Tel, my tongue was in my cheek - however, ask 100 Leeds fans after a couple of pints who they dislike most and Man U will win, I suggest.
The atmosphere when we used to play them in the league was electric, provided its channelled (i.e. not into football violence on the terraces) thats a good thing, makes for a special occasion.
Is it jealousy? Don't think so, if it was, it would not have been there when we had a team as good as theirs (and we did, at times) or better than theirs (and we did, at times). In fact the intensity never abated.
2020
The fixture I always wanted to see before the season started were Manchester United and Liverpool.
Both those games were a bit above any other, the atmosphere was, as you say, electric. Always a full house, always lively and in all fairness usually a cracking game of football.
Tremendous.
I must confess, Chelsea are the team I dislike most. And that all stems from them going out specifically to injure Eddie Gray at Wembley.
As a football fan I honestly wouldnt want any club to fold but in particular those who have been rivals to us over the years.
I would love to have Leeds back in the top division if only for a more interesting fixture than say Wigan or Bolton.
I really hated Leeds from our rivalry in the early 90s but not playing them on a regular basis has mellowed me a bit.
Liverpool are still our biggest rivals and Man City have come back in a big way. Arsenal would be up there after a few bad years but Chelsea are just laughable now.
what has a girlfriends ex got to do with hating football clubs?
That is laughable

No matter how much I may dislike another club, I would never, ever, EVER wish a club to fold. Every club has history and passionate fans, and they should never have to see their club go under.
I would have thought that to be a common thought amongst football fans, no matter who they support.

It can be whatever you want it to be, I don't care after that win today.
