What am I supposed to do though? I'd love to use them all and get a decent player in, or just do a few transfers but I was left with a squad of 40 players and most of them are worth no more than 500k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You've got a load of players out on loan, check their value and it might be worth cancelling their loan for 1 million each and using them to get a better player
Although in fairness, 15 players more than anyone else at £500k each gives you a £7.5m advantage over the rest of us

I'm going by overall squad value (according to transfermarkt) plus the original assigned budget and look at these results:
Napoli: 170m + 40m = 210m
Liverpool: 205m + 35m = 240m
Dortmund: 170m + 35m = 205m
Arsenal: 265m + 30m = 295m
Juventus: 215m + 35m = 250m
Spurs: 235m + 35m = 270m
Porto: 195m + 45m = 240m
Atletico: 160m + 40m = 200m
PSG: 180m + 45m = 225m
Marseille: 125m + 45m = 170m
Valencia: 160m + 35m = 195m
Ajax: 85m + 50m = 130m
I'm 40m shy of the next luckiest player!!!
The average is 219m and I'm 89m short of that
