I did it to see if I would get apologies (false PC answers) or venomous bile (actual feelings). You can read the above comments to see the % of Derby fans that probably chanted themselves.

So either way Tricky you were determined to paint us all with the same brush Good luck with squeaky bum time. Walking in a Cotterill wonderland

Tricky..think about how you treated your Chairman when he was alive...and your thread has tried to tarnish every Derby fan on here. You are not getting away with that pal...take the thread off if you have any decency in you

yawn, you've always got excuses, you came for a point and you failed, end of.

Backo, just read your post mate. They are hypocrites, singing his name. Most of the fans around me were saying exactly the same thing. Hypocrites the lot of them

I'm guessing your over-looking the fact that the club is already in the process of apologising to Nottingham Forest?!

The chants were disgusting, I was there tonight! I was singing along and when I head the chants regarding the late Chairman, I looked to my friend who said to me 'We've just crossed a line'. I totally agreed with him. It was a section of fans, who clearly wanted to start trouble.

Being at these games a few times, the policing is on another level, and you could see a few of these section fans being forced home by the police.

I'll apologise on their behalf, but we're not hanging our heads in shame, as the actions of a few doesn't reflect on everyone.

As some have said, it's daft to order all fans to hang their heads in shame as the non-chanting fans have no control over what happens. Only those joining in should feel guilty.

On the other hand, the few attempts at somehow justifying the actions are pretty embarassing.

Some may say sours grape, however, you'll find that both myself and hoons created our articles as Barker was receiving treatment, which was long before your goal and victory.

Strett ,
it was wrong of those who chanted that disgraceful chant. But don't tar everybody with the same brush.

Thanks for the balanced view Strett. I cringe when I hear these sort of chants and you'll never get remorse from the perpetrators - they don't have the intelligence for it, but Tricky is wrong to insist that we all shoulder that burden and accept the guilt. We feel pride in the players, just as you do when you win, and the players, the manager, and the majority of fans have no control over the actions of the mindless few that sadly all we clubs seem to have, stuck to the bottom of our shoe.

What a mess our club is in !!!!!
We got to our seat to find a chap sitting in one of our seats , he had a ticket , bought from the club with our season ticket number on . The steward told us that up to 1000 tickets were issued by the club with no seat available. Fans in front of us were standing all game and my wife could only see half the game , we could not stand as folk behind were sitting .
The game was so poor with only flashes of quality from one player , Green.
I have never seen the ball just booted up field so often by both teams , forest were dreadful with no idea or skill to do better , we were so poor nobody had the skill or composure to play the ball on the ground .
The only way these players could excite the crowd was by kicking the other teams players or rushing to join in a mock fight where both keepers ran eighty yards to make it look as if they cared.
This action by the players was not passion it was desperation born by a complete lack of skill or ideas and as Roger Davies said after both managers should be held responsible for the disgraceful action of these players.
Barkers injury was sickening and such a shame for the lad who had family at the game .
Then came the chants about the late forest chairman , not long after I walked out , if that is modern day football , god help us .
We have owners happy to be in mid table and a manager who said on sky during the game he does not hear the chants , but the club would investigate and appologise , how come then nigel do you wave your hands when they chant your name, you can hear that.
We won the game , but football lost last night .

Well done Direby but what Terrible game big changes needed on and off the field at both clubs as the tripe served up by both clubs simply isn't good enough

the chants were bad but I know!! if it was the other way round our fans wouldve done the same.

"You may not realize it now, but Derby County lost a lot of respect for that disgusting chant.

Hang Your Heads in Shame "

Whilst we are tarring everyone with the same brush, can I just point out that you show tacit approval for the death penalty - in many cases executing the wrong person - just by living in Texas. Not only that, but you flaunt it by using that foul state in your user name.

What's it like living with blood on your hands, executioner?

Robrea: I understand your take on the modern game, but Clough did say he was 'aware' of the chanting, don't pillory him using the actions of the mindless - that's not right. His concern, and rightly so, was the condition of Barks, as it should be - he himself pointing out he's the manager of the team, the chants are an issue to be dealt with at club level.

Robrea....

Are you complaining to the club about the seat mix up.... I had that once at our ground and was told I had to sit elsewhere cos a Manc was in my seat. . . I refused and finally got my seat back. . . Then I witnessed a 8 Manc goals lol....

As for the chanting ... I 'd sooner not get into that. The club will no doubt apologise for the fans behaviour but really the fans around those that started it should squeal, but that won't happen either.

As for the broken leg. Tragic accident and I wish him well in his recovery.....

As for the quality of the game... pi$$ poor springs to mind

Robrea's blaming Clough personally for the seat mix-up - also blaming Clough personally for the chanting.

It's going to rain on Saturday morning too. Bloody Clough again.
