nope, the whole team has moved on, try watching a youtube compliation of RVP!!!
I know what you mean Batmanu
I don't get tears but I smile with a tinge of sadness because I realise he was so good yet he achieved so little with the team.
No.
Everytime I see anything Fabregas related I just curse our disabled board allowing him to leave for 25M
He was far more fun to watch at Arsenal than he is at Barca.
Those Arsenal videos make me far too sad so I don't really watch them anymore.
for* allowing him to leave for 25M
No, because it makes me angry or sad.
I use to watch Barca(not often), but since he went there I think I have only watched one game.
no, because i stopped thinking of him as an arsenal player the moment he started whoring after barca in 2010.
I watched a few of them today for the first time in months and yes it did make me very sad and angry.
i remember watching england games at the 2006 world cup, and every time cashley was on or near the ball i actually had to remind myself he was an arsenal player; in my own head, i'd already moved on.
that was how i felt for the last year that cesc was on arsenal's books.
I have no ill feelings towards Cesc because Wenger just didn't do enough to make him stay at the club.
I know what you mean KPPR, it just felt wrong having a captain who wanted out of the club.

a lot's been said about that, but i don't know what to make of it. it's been said that during his meeting with wenger in 2010, wenger told him the players he was planning to sign, and fabregas just waved them away, unimpressed.
so imagine when august rolls around, and all we have is an unknown frenchman, a crocked veteran from spain's fifth team, and a goal-shy moroccan beanpole. if fabregas was unimpressed in june, he would have been cutting himself by september.
He always wanted to go back to Barca and said that when he signed anyway. He said if it wasn't Barca he would have stayed at Arsenal. Wenger's probably the reason he stayed that long in the first place.
Fabregas never looked happy in his final year with us though. Never really celebrated goals or anything. From the 3-1 vs Chelsea leading up to the Cup Final he looked happy but that was about it. We didn't show enough ambition for him, lets hope that doesn't happen twice.

which makes it even stranger that wenger gave him the captaincy; on more than one occasion, we heard fabregas say that he would reconsider his future if wenger left. so it appears that his list of priorities was essentially - 1. barcelona. 2. wenger. 3. arsenal.
and THIS guy was made captain??
We had no other options as captain really. RVP too injury prone, TV out for all of last season, Gallas gone...
I never really thought he was a natural captain but yeah we didn't have many options. And Wenger might have hoped giving him the responsibility could make him stay longer, but the lure of playing for this Barca team was too much.

to be honest, i'm worried that it will.
arsenal were leading us to believe that the podolski deal was a crossed t and a dotted i away from completion, but then podolski came out and denied that was the case.
last summer wenger said he expected to have a 'busy window'; as soon as the season ticket renewal date passed, he said that there would be 'one or two' new arrivals before trotting out the 'x, y and z are like new signings' line.
with that in mind, no matter how much we hear podolski's name mentioned now, i can bet we won't hear it again from the club once the season ticket renewal deadline passes.
We've got a massive waiting list for season tickets though, we're not in danger of failing to sell up.
Making Cesc the captain was an inspired decision by Wenger. Fabregas lead the team fantastically well imo. Most games he set a great example. He wasn't the loudest but he always provided us with moments of magic in nearly every game- which encouraged the team and gave everyone more confidence.
Also, like Batmanu said, we didn't really have any other options. Wasn't Nasri our vice captain for one or two games as well
Yeah look, here's the captaining the side:
