Cozer when did he purchase it?
Cas
I would deffo be up for that
It was deffo capped at 28k, and am quite sure there was a small waiting list but I could be wrong on that
Southy
Us Wakey lads don't like outsiders in the city never mind soft cockneys
If he had purchased it i think itd be something hed shout about and hang over our heads like when he states he saved when no one else would
Anyway lads
Daylight or mad max 2
Which shall I watch
BLUE: With the current economic climate don't you think the club have got to think a bit more out of the box to entice people in. I think only 63% renewed there season
tickets, that's a hell of a drop.
Neither theyre both awful
LIW it's got to be Mad Max
Someone sent me a rumour today that he was unhappy in France and wanted to come back to ER on loan for rest of season.
I really wish that was true, seems unlikely tho

"JLA: The club are giving away home shirts to kids at the Derby game as they did at the Southampton game.
How many soon to be out of dates shirts do kids want ?
They must have a lot of unsold stock to be giving them away. It's lazy marketing. Change the offers to entice parents to take their children even if its a match day ticket for £3 for the child an adult would have to pay full wack."
Change my example to backpacks, lunch boxes, bobbleheads of players, etc.
Key is sponsor pays for it so cost to club = $0.
Its a concept.
Caswhite: My guess is Bates bought the ground around the time he bought the club. If the club are paying the rent into one of Bates offshore accounts over time he gets any money he put into the club back. If that's the case its a great bit of business on his account.
Just shyght for us though.
Dont they have bobblehead day in baseball over there jla?
I think only 63% renewed there season
......
I bet that rockets up now.
I no I'm not renewing no ambition blah blah blah
Nw comes in and win a few o I mite renew now. And the daftos have got to pay more on it!
Good concept tho, thats at least one things americans are good at, marketing.
JLA : I get your point Jonny .I'm not always the sharpest knife in the block.
But I get there in the end.
entice people in???
Our average last season was 27k
In a season most thinked we did well in.
What's he got to entice people in for? That will be done by the team winning.
You watch next season if we pop in around top 2-6 economic climate then. They be back up to that mark. If not more!
Blue:
OK mate your welcome to your opinion, But perhaps if the club changed its ways it could get 32k instead of the 27k your estimating.
I bet there's 10k refusing to go again until Bates leaves.
I think your greatly under estimating the bad feeling towards the club at the moment. Only changing its ways will bring a lot of the supporters back.
Its not all about winning its what makes you feel good
supporting your club. Then again Mr Bates just might be right we might be all quote " Thick Yorkshire C's"
Yet Newcastle who have no history and is a smaller place then Leeds get 50k+ with Nike Ashley there.
And at this level around same.
Why is that?
In prem when leeds started doing bad our average went down from 39k to 36k
Yet Newcastle stayed more or less same.
Then we went down it went to 29k newcastles stayed same.
Leeds fans moan about not spending on players, saying fans will turn up if we start spending? yet we spend Ms in season before we went down and our average was poor.
What happend to fans turning up if we spend? that's not true is it?
Good fan base but only if doing well and stats show this.
Good Night All
If your going to the match tomorrow have a great time and lift the roof................COME ON...........................
Crozer, though I don't mind admitting some might be staying away because of Bates, I think 10k is over the top. No chairman/owner would keep me away, only the actual cost. This I accept if fans can only afford to pick matches, as this has happened for years.
I would ask people attend as many matches as they can affort to support the team. Cheer them on to promotion. Protest by not buying anything else if that's what it takes to show your solidarity and have sit in protests after matches or remaining outside the East Stand. But support the team from kick off till final whistle.
I bet there's 10k refusing to go again until Bates leaves.
......
I bet you that 10k are back when we go up next season. Bet they don't even think about him.
I bet you he gets thanks from a lot as well.

Newcastle have had there problems as well with fans and I should know I have married into the Geordie clan. Unlike Leeds who's fan base is countrywide with more travelling decent distances, the Newcastle gates will be from in or just outside the town.
Bates asked people to renew too early.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree it was early and I'm not sure why. But unlike in the past at least we get interest free so you actually are paying the full price later than in years past.
I think Newcastle got best fans in England really
They do naff all every year, have no history yet get over 47-50k pluss every season for long time now.
