Legend. I love Big Boi, but when you hear him solo you realise how good Andre actually is for Outkast.

Please go into detail about what you hate so much about the album.
You seem to only have outbursts about your hatred for the album, without actually saying what you dislike about it. It's a good album, please tell me why I am wrong, and I'll have more respect

Everyone knows he isn't a particularly special rapper. That's not what he relies on, he's a good rapper, but noting more. Lyrically he has been amazing in the past, such as 'Jesus walks' and 'Run this town'.
Like a a lot of people i suspect, you just don't get the album. He isn't trying to better his previous work, it's more darker, the production is my more sinister and daring. It's not scratching 90's hip hop which most of the people on here can't stop banging on about. It's getting the reviews it deserves.
And are you even a Kanye fan? you just said he's an awful lyricist, has got no flow at all, and the only good thing about his songs are when someone else starts rapping. I have loads of rappers I don't like, it doesn't bother me that people enjoy their music, just chill your boots.
Most of the beats are poor and when their not they're ruined by his horrible impression of T-Pain, as I said people are scared of being accused of not getting it like you suggested. I've tried to listen to it twice and the only tracks I've managed not to skip are New Slaves, Black Skinhead and Bound 2 although with that being said I might give it another try tomorrow to see if I'm missing something.
I always think the opposite. Music critics would jump at the first opportunity to slate someone's album.
It can work both ways but with someone like Kanye who's every release has received universal critical acclaim, praised for originality and for pushing the boundaries of Hip Hop I think people lose perspective because they believe everything he has put out up to date has been so good that surely this must be too even if it doesn't sound like it.
But as I said I'm probably gonna try and give it another listen tomorrow and I will let you know if my opinion on it changes at all.

He isn't even one of my favorite artists. I just like his album, like most people do. And he's getting the credit he deserves for it, you can remain as bitter as you like. But at the end of the day, you shouldn't cry about it.

That's utter rubbish, many artists over the years have been found out after a string of brilliant albums to come up with some that are completely useless. Where were the rave reviews for 808? most places didn't like it, it's a shame you can't just admit most people like it, looking for excuses is unfair, it's been given good reviews, should just leave it at that.
You're the one who is getting all defensive over people's opinions
Am I?
808's was a dark point in hip hop history. How's that for some d!!ck riding.
Better than yeezus without question
Examples?
Have you completely ignored the part where I said I'm gonna try and give it another listen in case I've missed something which you could interpret as me being wrong about the album?
808's reviews mostly ranged from good to very good.
No I didn't, but i wasn't referring to that part.
It's just a little short-sighted to say that because everything he put out before Yeezus was so good, that Yeezus must also be good. Like, that's as lazy as it gets to be honest. But I appreciate you're going to give it another listen anyway.

After trying to listen to it twice that was one of the only explanations I could come up with to justify the reviews it was getting. Its like their preconceptions about Kanye was clouding their judgement when reviewing Yeezus.
Is this going on the basis that your opinion is the right one? and that the only reason you can think of for people disagreeing with it is that it's Kanye West?
How about not everyone thinks it's a bad album? without all the conspiracy theories...
Conspiracy theory?
Bias doesn't effect opinion?
Is this going on the basis that your opinion is the right one?
Not its going on the opinion that if somethings universally critically acclaimed I should be able to listen it without it hurting my ears.
You said the only reason why you think people think its good is because everything he did before it was good.
Anyway, you don't have to listen to it if it hurts your ears, just listen to some of his older stuff if that's what you are more into. I'll just sit back and enjoy a good album, while Kanye reaps the rewards he deserves.
