D'Jeezus, that's spot on, to be honest. It looks like this thread has had to go back in time.
Mainstream Hip-hop is a bit of a mess at the moment.
Trying to think of an album I listen to regularly that was released by someone who wasn't about pre-2000.
Ortiz is second best, after Royce.
Buddens is easily the worst of Slaughterhouse.
============
Miles behind the other 3. Wish he wasn't in the group And he tried to diss Meth and Rae Deck murdered him tho...
I have always liked Crooked I since back in the Death Row days.
Am I the only the one who thinks Budden is completely awesome?
During the Shady 2.0 cypher he was frickin' incredible
Any of you own "Illmatic"?
A masterpiece, imo.
AFL, most definitely. Probably the greatest rap album ever.
Anyone got the Yelawolf album on Shady? Can't say I have ever listened to him...
I honestly don't understand a word Yelawolf says/rap
R.A. The Rugged Man = best white rapper ever...
apart from Tony Mortimer and J 5ive of course...
That, "It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back" and "Ready To Die" are three of my personal favourites. Probably 'THE' three.
Can't go wrong with a bit of dappy
Legends Never Die is the upcoming studio album from New York Hip Hop artist R.A. the Rugged Man. It will be a follow up to 2004's Die, Rugged Man, Die. Guest spots include Kool G Rap, Talib Kweli, Masta Ace, Brother Ali, Tech N9ne, Hopsin, Vinnie Paz and others. Production will be handled by Buckwild, Ayatollah, Apathy, Shuko, Mr. Green, Marco Polo, and others.

Cannot be long to wait
AFL, mine are Illmatic, Only Built For Cuban Linx and ATLiens.
Ah, yes. Old-school Outkast. Gotta love that.
D'Jeezus, is Raekwon the member of the Wu-Tang Clan that you rate the most highly?
AFL, no. He is about 5th. But both the Cuban Linx albums are close to being Wu albums, moreso than most of the solo albums.
GFK or GZA is my favourite. Deck is probably ahead of Rae, and as I said before it is hard to place ODB.
Raes 2nd and 3rd albums are poor, Shaolin v Wu Tang is good but not great.
Reading a book by Christopher Pierznik at the moment, entitled "The Hip-Hop10". Basically lists of top ten catergories, such as Best labels, best albums, best songs, best groups etc. He adds reasoning to his picks.
His top 10 "The Most Underrated Artists of all time" are...
10. Nature
9. Jeru Tha Damaja
8. Cormega
7. Styles P.
6. Sean Price aka Ruck
5. Immortal Technique
4. Masta Ace
3. Treach
2. AZ
1. Black Thought
Decent read, especially as I have similar opinions to him.
His top 10 Albums are...
10. Reasonable Doubt
9. Only Built 4 Cuban Linx
8. Pauls Boutique
7. Enter The Wu Tang (36 Chambers)
6. Ready To Die
5. Straight Outta Compton
4. Paid In Full
3. The Chronic
2. Illmatic
1. It Takes A Million To Hold Us Back
Saint won't be happy. No Mos, no ATCQ (although Midnight Marauders is an Honourable mention alongside Things Fall Apart by the Roots and Resurrection by Common).
gotta say....someone on here put me onto immortal tech.....very tight rymes...
angry fellow thou.....it must be said.....
lil wayne is probably the best rapper of all time.
