I still believe Macheda can make it. He just needs a break.

i would like llorente but dont think we will buy a replacement

Llorente would certify ideal replacement. He could be everything that Berb was supposed to be for us! This isn't some reaction based on the recent (entirely justified) praise he has been getting. He is a quality target man, lethal in the air and more than capable on the ground. Would be a terrific signing, but would cost am awful lot. And there are other areas that require more strengthening imo

no-one up front is the last place we need to strengthen

Llorente would give us a target man option which we haven't really had since Saha.

I still rate Huntelaar.

Would probably be Van Wolfswinkel if anyone, Fergie is supposed to be interested. Does anyone know much about him?

Demba Ba could be cheaper and great option would fit in our team but I don't think we will sign a striker we have Rooney Hernandez welbeck and then macheda and will keane and maybe Owen

Macheda can't get a kick for QPR !!

No chance he will for us

good call with demba ba, apparently has a release clause of around £6-8 million, bargain, but any striker we sign might not be guaranteed a starting place

Demba Ba would be a cheap option, but feel it would be a gamble on his ability given he would have had one good season in the PL.

CP

Many managers won't put their own players noses out of joint to play loan players. It didn't help the lad when Hughes took over and signed two strikers. Just bad luck for him.

Benzema for me, well suited for premiership.

Messi or Ronaldo would do for me...

Benzema looking very decent these days after bad start for Madrid

I still Prefer Higuain to Benzema. Higuain is the better finisher but Benzema has better all round play and can play out on the wing, but I still prefer Higuain would be amazing at United.

I really doubt Ba has a release clause, if he does. Why hasnt anyone bought him?

Ronnie coming home, lol

I'm beginning to think that the ideal replacement would actually be a versatile AMF...

We have plenty of strikers in Welbeck, Chico, Owen and Macheda (plus Will Keane) and we have a top quality #10 in Wayne Rooney.

A Silva/Mata type would compliement what he have....

More competition for the left wing, a tactical option for when we go 4-5-1 and back up for when Rooney gets injured... Depending on the player... He could also play in a 4-4-2 in easier games.

I don't know much about this Hazard fella, but he seems to tick the right boxes.

Lets get Robin van Persie on the cheap

I'd be surprised if Owen gets a new contract and if Macheda stays.

posted on 18/3/12

macheda won't make it simply because his attitude stinks. nothing to do with lacking in ability.

posted on 18/3/12

Where is the Macheda that came on against Villa, hungry, chasing lost causes, putting himself about and scoring winning goals?

I cant see it happening but Van Persie would be an awesome signing...
