Haha, just had the best ME conversation yet. Went something like this with the Council over the intercom:

Council: Don't disconnect again, I don't find it amusing.
Shepard: Don't give me a sermon. I'm here to file my report on Noveria.
Council: You let the Rachni queen go?! Do you have any idea how many centuries it took to beat them before?
Shepard: Three? No...four?
Council: This isn't a joke Shepard! You could endanger the entire galaxy because of this!
Shepard: Whoops. *disconnect*



God, playing as a renegade female is so much fun. VA is quality, much better than male Shep.

Yeah Cell-shading is awesome. Gives that lovely concept art look to the game.

Mass Effect sucks, sorry BlueBlood- but compare it to Skyrim, or Red Dead Redmption and it looks like a very inferior RPG.

Disagree, but you know what they say about opinions...

I just don't care about any of the characters in Skyrim, and wasn't overly fussed by them in RDR either. I love ME's characterisation, dialogue choices and ... well, most things about it, really. Would always choose it over those two, especially as Skyrim has a silent protagonist as well as forgettable characters (not to say I don't love the game also, but for different reasons).

Red Dead had great characters. Mass Effect was just better.

Skyrim was awful as far as characters are concerned.

I'd rather have a faceless main character, one you can imprint any personality you wsee fit to imagine to, than play as Shephard- who is the most dull main character in the history of RPGs.

ME has very overrated dialogue and characteristation- if I was looknigf for that I would paly games liek L.A Noire.

Am I pulling your leg? Only al ittle cos I know you love Mass Effect. But I am not lying when I say I think its overrated.

I agree male Shep is kinda dull compared with female Shep, who is far superior (especially with the hilarious renegade dialogue).

I can never become attached to a silent protagonist, whether you see their face or not. Didn't care about the main characters in the Suikoden series not Skyrim, although I loved other speaking characters in Suikoden.

Personal preference, I guess. I love that you can customise your Shepard in appearance but still have a fleshed out character, unlike the first DA or Skyrim.

How I became 'attached' to my Skyrim character was through deciding on how his personality and characteristics would be and then trying to adhere to that in my decision making etc. Made the game quite immersive, in addition to never using fast-travel.

I see what you're saying about imprinting your own personality, but I become attached through more than just actions. I like my followers/other characters more than my own. Same with the Fallout games.

Skyrim was extremely tideous. Especially the r*etarded combat mechanics put me off the whole game.

If they combined Dark souls combat with skyrim universe then you would have an excellent game.

No fast travel. I ran everywhere. No horse either

What is Dark souls combat like?

I spec'd into daggers etc so most of the time I one-shot people when sneaking.
