Just what is the point of Stoke City?

I didn't get a chance to watch the match yesterday, mothers day and all that. I was gutted that ITV didn't even put highlights on.

One thing made me laugh though. It was a Stoke fan on 606 last night. He was moaning that he couldn't see from the top of the lower tier, in the Annie Road stand. He said it was because people were standing up, he said he left after 10 minutes. The funny thing is the Annie Road was full of Stoke fans yesterday wasn't it.

Why was he having a go at our club when it was his fans that were causing the problem?

Can I commend you for creating this article.

I was going to create one myself regarding Stokes fans and their behaviour.

I had the unpleasant experience of being seated not far fromn them in the main stand and I think the majority of the Stoke fans around the corner flag, spent the entire match making threatening gestures to the home fans - many of whom were families.

I'd also like the FA to make a statement on their behaviour. Calling someone racist for the best part of 90 minutes may be amusing to some but in the wide scheme of things - it's pretty damaging to the game.

85 minutes about how suarez is racist

5 minutes tom jones

what a garbage club

For most of the 90 mins all I heard was songs about Suarez and then the odd few ripping up Carroll. I barely heard one song about Stoke and there's no point even talking about the 'football'

No problem Metro. I think so many people feel the same about this.

What do you expect "Hip hip Hoooray's"?

Maybe some about their own players. They were a disgrace to be fair.

I remember reading this a while ago -

Also, Jason Euell was the victim of racial abuse by a Stoke fan a couple of years ago. The fan was arrested and Stoke made an official apology to the player - seems their fans have very short memories.

It is not right that players recieve this abuse but i wouldn't say Stoke are an isolated case

"Fans will also be tied by the same brush as the player that has done wrong tbh which once again is sad but by no means isolates Stoke city fans"

I think the point of the article was, instead of enjoying a quarter final cup game, the Stoke fans chose to abuse one of our players. Nobody said it isolates them as a group of fans.

Crippled by jealousy

I must have missed the 'outrage' in the article I thought it was in sympathy that fans have to concentrate on another team rather than on their own

Trans

Writing on his Facebook page after firing a superb goal at Anfield, Suarez said: "I want to dedicate to Muamba the goal and the FA Cup semi-finals qualification.

"Keep fighting buddy, don't give up! You will make it!!"

To answer the OP'S question

Just what is the point of Stoke City?

Answer is a simple one = they make up the numbers without ever achieving anything what so ever in the game

Another answer is they are whats known as also rans, eg Fulham , Newcastle, Spurs, Sunderland

The behaviour from them yesterday was appalling but it is with a that we have ended another season of nothing for them in the middle of March

=======================

Maybe he should ask for a re-trial with the FA to clear his name & use his own Twitter page as crucial evidence.
