Chicken during that game Carroll was on for last 10 mins (ish) and we should have had a bout 3-4 pens...

====================

Until refs start dishing out "soft penalties" from corners for this sort of thing, its going to continue.

I agree..especially when there is nothing soft about it, if its a free kick somewhere else n the ptich then grow some nuts and give it in the area...

also dont even start me on 'shepharding the ball out for a goal kick' ...its just obstruction!!!!

The point of Stoke City is a football club that continues to compete in the Premier League by playing the way they know and are best at.
whilst getting to a FA cup final last season
and a quarter final this season also giving a good account of themselves in their first season in Europe for donkeys years.
Their fans are as loyal as you will ever see, theres no problem in singing about opposition players, it just adds to the atmosphere.

No problem with that but dont expect me to compliment the style of play or in fact call it anything less than a disagrace...

by the way, can someone tell me what the five stars are for above City's crest?

I remember in the Carling Cup game, Liverpool were trying to take a corner but were delayed by something like two full minutes while the referee tried to get the Stoke players to stop trying to perform their various signature finishing moves on Liverpool players.

After all of this muck, when Liverpool finally swung the corner in, the referee gave Stoke a free kick for absolutely nothing - it's the regular occurrence of instances like this that make me feel that the Premier League should have a dedicated panel that review every Stoke City match and decide whether fans should be allowed to sue for damages.

Their fans were a complete farce yesterday, bit I can only assume that season upon season of watching the likes of Shawcross and Huth, as well as the knowledge that their club has paid Danny Higginbotham legal tender, has driven them slightly insane.

Sorry, when i said "soft" i meant as in "going against the grain".

I thought it was ironic that the ref gave a free-kick for Shawcross' handling of carroll 10-15 yards outside the box, which was the lesser infringement of them all - but not in the box. I wonder why?

Chicken... yeah i was agreeing mate... Friend (as is standard for him) lacked the bottle to be the ref yesterday...

on a side note i thoughtthe way Webb handled the incident at WHL was top draw... i dont often use those words and his name but fair play.

jloo1978......So they have just added them on after winning nothing to justify it.... and we are plastic fans.....

It was felt, that it would give the badge, and the club a more continental appeal.
Its the footballing equivalent of go faster stripes on a $h!t car.

Haha you are clueles lad. If anything im sticking up for the smaller team.
I have had a season ticket since 1997 i will support City even if it all goes wrong and we end up like leeds.
Judging by your comments you are a plastic armchair fan.

yeah but your CLUB have put 5 stars over your badge after winning nothing for them...

i think that makes the club plastic...

It was utterly hilarious when they had a perfectly legitimate goal chalked off against us in the Carling Cup, although in the greater scheme of things it was only marginal recompense for the statistically proven fact that 98.47% of Stoke goals in the past few years should have been ruled out for fouls/Cameron Jerome-related offences in the build-up.

Ryan Shawcross should be put in stocks and pelted with rotten apples and dead skunks.

Lol!
Not often do I type 'lol' without punching myself in the face afterwards.

I saw Huth trying to put the RKO on Carroll but Carroll responded with a side-on powerbomb into the advertising boards.

Boosh!

They also have a latin phrase 'Superbia In Proelia' under the badge, which translates as 'Pride in Battle'. It also has no traditional connection to city, or manchester generally, and is also a bit silly.

I know the Merseyside schooling has always been shocking but at least they could teach you how to count.

Andy will have to watch out at The Britannia next season now, though - Shawcross will distract him with an elaborate taunting routine whilst Huth sneaks up and smashes him in the back of the head with a folded chair.

Nothing, purely decorational.

Why has the Liverpool crest got two flames on it?
