scouse-heart, as i said earlier i don't think the way in which liverpool as a club initially dealt with the situation helped, and they suffered a media backlash as a result. days before the old trafford game dalglish started it off again by saying "he should never have been banned in the first place" or words to that effect, when he was interviewed after the tottenham game. and just last week glen johnson was at it again. and i think the handshake went ahead because everybody, including dalglish, expected suarez to shake evra's hand.
ole
Just a thought, if people believe that Suarez is innocent, why are they not allowed to issue that opinion?
Many people are wrongly accused of crimes and nobody in their right mind thinks the FA is a well respected and decent institution.
I'm gonna go out on a limb on this one....

I dont dispute that some elements were poorly though through. The t shirts weere a bad idea simply because they could be mis-interpreted. Is it really hard ot believe that some people do believe he said it only once... as that is what he has admitted and no evidence has proven otherwise??
i agree it should be left by the club, but they do feel hard done by as one word was believed over antoher and they dont agree.
I dont agree that we deserved a 'media backlash'... i think the way the media conduct themselves in this country is a disgrace and if untied were on the recieving end of this you would say the same!!!!
They painted us all as racists...and that isnt reporting its celebrity/tabloid lazy cr@p...

everyone is entitled to their own opinion. what do you mean by 'innocent' though? i realise we have to be careful with what we say, but it is a fact that suarez himslef admitted to saying something that he shoudn't have. that doesn't mean he's this or that or whatever, but he was in the wrong in the first place, however you look at it.
scouse-heart, i ike to think that united would have conducted the matter entirely differently, but we'll never know. a lot of the media coverage did go over the top towards liverpool, but had everybody kept their mouth shut and accepted the fa's decision, whether they agreed with it or not, it would never have escalated in the manner it did. lessons need to be learned before next season's games.
I don't condone the abuse of Suarez and it is time this all stopped.
However, I am confused by those that continue to claim Suarez is innocent. He abused Evra and he referenced his skin colour, as admitted from his own mouth. He is therefore guilty of breaking the rules that the FA charged him with.
Whether he intentionally meant the words with a racial meaning is another matter. But he is guilty not innocent.
I'm glad we put that team in to their place, no worries, that will only spur Luis on to score more goals

What do you expect when you get 40,000 idiots in a stadium.
Admin1, do they all have the same MO? I see that the OP is still lurking. Admiring his WUM work
I think its a bit silly to be complaining about the abuse to Suarez (its not about whether he is innocent or guilty, devil or saint)
He is big enough to deal with it, and what do you expect the FA to do exactly? Ban fans for chanting about a player? That will be virtually every team in the country then with no fans at games then.
To suggest the likes of Terry and Rooney don't get abuse is ridiculous, of course they do, tons of it. Its not big or clever but it happens (very often its the oppositions best players who get the most abuse, with the exception of pantomime villains like Robbie Savage).
Suarez won't get this level of abuse forever, it will peter out (unless he gets involved in more incidents). Someone else will be public enemy number 1 soon, maybe Terry himself if he gets found guilty in his trial.
To be honest, I think Suarez will learn to relish the abuse he gets, it's not like it's physical abuse, and it will spur him on to get better and better.
When they find Terry guilty......god help him!
Have not read all the comments but here is mine
The answer to the chants, etc, is to have a good game and if you get a chance

ole, a belated point taken, thank you friend, no offence intended. Re: Luis, I too believe that he relishes being abused, verbally, as a spur. If thats the case, long may it continue. Personally, I wish he's drop the waving of the imaginary yellow/red cards, its just not the LFC, or indeed PL way. fitlfc is absolutely spot on. YNWA JimmyTheRed
I seem to recall both Neville brothers recieving the most vile abuse when playing fo Manchester United at Anfield. Should that have happened? What steps were taken to prevent it happening again? None apparently. Was Garry Neville once slapped in the face by a "FAN" at Anfield? It seems that there are a lot of short memories being displayed on this thread.

Along with very selective ones silky!!
Or Phil Neville being spat at?
But that is not as bad as the nasty songs the.stoke fans sang
Johnsons. This is a typical R.S. reply, made without thought or recollection. What a pratt you are.!!!!!!
"What a pratt you are.!!!!!!"
Back at you. You need to do more research when sniping mate, you got that one completely wrong. Unless you can find me the link to the Gary Neville incident you use as an example.
Weren't you also the person going on about Liverpool fans calling Evertonians BS 'all men women and children' - I recall you put it.
