Merry Christmas and happy New Year Dave
Appreciate the CPR on the thread but I think it's flatlined unfortunately
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This thread has 75 odd posts in 4 years.
How bad are we on social discourse?
For shame.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There wasn't enough arguing and name-calling on this thread for people's liking

I could go a brexit, BLM and UK union fishing for posters, buddy.
To boost numbers, haha.

Happy Festivus, renooG!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at you too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
TBAB, away from the main thread, how's your wife and family. Losing your MIL can be a big deal and so many facets of life are exacerbated or compounded by the stresses of covid-19.
I know we butt heads very hard at times, but I'll never forget our mental health chats and it may come as a surprise but I do worry about your well-being at times.
I hope you're looking after your mental health so you're best able to be the rock for the rest of the family.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wife back at work today, after losing her mum and with her dad gone too and a brother in a car crash, it's tough.
The sight of her mum after cancer and detention and care home window visits will haunt us forever, as MIL looked like a small skeleton at the end...horrific end.
My daughter is working away beside me and seems grand, albeit afraid to go out and live like a teenager.
I did get down and stressed recently with WFH, being locked in, dark days weather wise in January, so try not to fight as much here or with mates over brexit etc.
Job keeps changing and our systems keep failing, us me being 56 I struggle with tech big time.
Now we are dealing with covid ESA cases for folk shielding and self-isolating so cannot escape misery these days, haha.
I get out to run, walk, cycle or visit mum to break days up, but it has hit me this month and I got the blues badly.
Still on Vensor and fiighting the melancholy.
Easing off social media and trying to ease off anger with the world and people, but I still explode or get a red mist, but don't act on it.
Cut down on beer too and posting while pashed as that is dangerous and daft.
Just taking one day at a time now and attempting to be more human and humane.
Look after yourself Dave and let's not fall out ever again.♥️
Did the election thread get shut down?
RIP it had a good 5 year stretch

I liked the election thread cause the OP was absent so it was purely neutral ground bar when Adders had to pull everyone apart

So Renoog,
Thoughts on Myanmar?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Doesnt seem to be a good solution from the outside
Hopefully the military position becomes untenable eventually

(sorry Dave I just have to set the right tone if we're to accept a boatload of election thread refugees)
